I always stay at the Pendry. The upper floors are quiet and so comfortable. I sleep like a baby. The lobby and restaurants are great. Really comfortable bar with excellent service and fires. Rooftop deck, just a really nice example of understated luxury.

Awesome location, good staff- housekeeping, doorman and guest services. Its walkable distance to the Riverwalk, the Millinium Park and the museums near by. My children, 10 & 14, loved to walk around and exploring the places.

The room we stayed and was extremely spacious and nice. We had a young child on our trip and the room was pleasantly child safe. Incredible views of the city. However, the elevator service was horrendous and the staff was not very attentive or pleasant.

The building is beautiful and the location was ideal. Staff was very nice overall. The rooms are fine. Safely designed. Bellhops are excellent.
Our major disappointment was the restaurant and cafe, which appears to be a matter of training. Our flight was delayed, so we sent messages about our dinner reservation & talked to reception when we arrived. We were assured the restaurant knew but no one mentioned it was closing 20 minutes after our arrival. No one. We were very tired and walked up at 9:04pm for our reservation and were informed they closed 4 minutes earlier. Period. End of story. If anyone had mentioned this, we would have understood. It was just odd.
The bar turned out to be a great option, even with a child, but no one suggested it. We wandered in. Rooftop is closed BTW, which was a bummer.
The next morning, we tried the cafe, stood in line for 20 minutes, only to be told we had to take our food to go as there was no place for us to sit. The adjoining restaurant with the same kitchen was set to open in 10 minutes, so that option was done and the cafe tables were full, until we got in line for the restaurant and then there were 4 open tables. It was just weird. We ate (expensively...) and never even tried to return during our stay. It was a lack of training and cohesion across departments in guest experience.
We are very understanding people because we've worked in the industry and my husband still works in wine hospitality. Gaps in training are obvious.

The hotel is situated in the beautiful Carbide and Carbon building which has been tastefully refurbished. Room cleaning every day was helpful, the espresso machine in the room was essential and the kids received a thoughtful gift when we checked in. Rooms are clean and beds are comfy too.

Wonderful hotel. Large rooms with beautiful, super clean bathrooms. Very comfortable beds, kids slept on the pullout coach which was not bad. It was a busy time and they might have been short staffed but they still tried their best. Delicious food and 24 hour room service is great. Very convenient location, we walked everywhere. Would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful hotel right on Michigan Avenue. Very clean and everyone was super friendly. There was one issue when we wanted to stay in the rooftop cabanas and then found out upon arrival it was for adults only (21 and over). No one told us that when booking and the advertising doesn't show that as well. The concierge was very apologetic and offered us dessert. The staff are excellent and the rooms are very clean. You will hear ambulance and police sirens as there is no way to block that out, but that is out of the hotels control. I would not recommend this facility for families with small kids. It really caters to adults, couples and business travelers.
