This is a great spot for a quick trip.If you are so low or with a teenage child made it easy for us to walk , view the scenery. We only used transportation for the airport. We were able to walk and see so many places and eat everywhere. Perfect location!!

Overall very good. Clean, modern and hi tech equipments
But
displaying some controversial and adult stuff in elevator screen is not kid friendly and no appropriate for a hotel
Also AC in rooms is not very strong and sometimes it got hot and humid even at coldest settings

I’ve been to other Citizen M properties and had better experience. Daytime staff were not approachable, much more interested in their side conversations that customer service. We waited by the bar to order drinks and snacks and I had said my menu code was not working. Instead of helping out, they handed me another menu barcode to try and walked away. Didn’t come back to check if worked while 5 staff just talked on opposite side of the bar and made themselves drinks to try. I was finally able to get it to work. Ordered and waited. This male employee couldn’t even bring our food over to us, just simply told the bartender as she pointed towards us, “no you can take it” as I looked at him directly. Just poor service. It felt like we were taking up too much of their free social time instead of assisting customers. I will say the new PM bartenders mainly Ms Ali and I can’t recall the other bartender were on top of their game. Busy with multiple customers and yet you felt welcomed and never made a fuss about anything. This is where you meet with your traveling group or family and enjoy the citizen M vibe but I didn’t feel this way my first time at this property.

This place was amazing. We came in town for a little get away for the weekend and didn’t have too much expectations but this place was awesome. The art was so amazing all over. The staff were helpful and the room was so clean. The bar/food was open 24/7 and had great options. 10/10 would recommend. The room was a little small but so trendy and modern. It all was controlled by an iPad which was so easy to use and very cool. You can chromecast your phone to the tv too. We will defineitly be coming back. Wouldn’t recommend if your staying with a family but couples or friends would be great!

Eco-friendly new hotel in downtown Chicago! The room/experience was unlike hotel stay I've ever had! Self check-in/out at kiosk. COMFY king size bed right on wall y der window. Mood lights in the bathroom. Nice shower. App-controlled everything from the shade, to the lights, to the TV, to the temp. The place was clean and I felt safe. It is NOT for a family, or friends uncomfortable sleeping in the same bed as all rooms have the same layout with the king size bed.

Very practical choice! Stunning Michigan Ave views and at the center of everything. Enjoyed the Thanksgiving parade with my adult children and loved it! Be sure if you are driving to pay for nearby parking beforehand! Thanks Citizen M

Pros: I chose to stay at CitizenM due to its location, it's right where the Loop meets Michigan Ave. The price was even better, $200-300 cheaper than the surrounding hotels. My husband and I were taking a mini 2 night trip to Chicago and since we were only sleeping in the room and not hanging out in the room, this hotel met all our needs. Room was super clean, shower had plenty of hot water, bed was comfy, and the iPad running the lights and window shade was a cool feature.
Cons: If you're looking for a large hotel room with room to spread out, then this is not the hotel for you. The room is VERY small and is not meant for a family and does not fit over 2 people. There is no room for a roll bed or pack n play for a kid. If you have more than 2 suitcases, this is not the hotel for you. The bed is right up against the wall, so if 2 people are sleeping in it 1 person has to climb over the other to get out. Not a big deal for me, but I'm sure lots of people won't like this. The ac is different, they don't have a unit that blows full blast air onto you. My hubby is always hot, so he didn't like how he couldn't cool down. The person that sleeps by the window does not have a plug for their phone.
I would definitely stay here again. The small room did not bother me at all, the hotel had a bar and food available if I wanted something (we had a few drinks and ate breakfast 1 morning), and all the local sights to see and yummy restaurants were really close by.

Pros: Hip, modern, good use of tech in the rooms, self check in/out was solid, pretty quiet after hours, night shades completely block out the light, friendly staff, and comfortable bed.
Cons: No iron in the rooms, unsuitable for claustrophobes, working elevators was hit or miss, not a lot of bathroom privacy, towels were low grade cotton (rough against the skin), toilet paper was cheap, razor thin quality and would take a roll just to blow your nose.
Summary: If a modern, college dorm room and budget cruise ship cabin had a baby, you get CitizenM. Great value for money, better served for those on a budget or solo travelers that prefer location over traditional amenities & room size.

This was the most amazing stay I ever had. From the start to the end of my visit I experienced nothing but awesome customer service. The rooms was amazingly clean and the Bed OMG was so comfortable. I slept like a baby. The pillows was like clouds. The concept of this place is spot on. I felt like I was at home. Don’t let the smaller square footage scare you because it was honestly perfect. I love how the room could be controlled with the iPad such as mood lighting, windows, temperature etc. Very modern and futuristic. If I’m ever solo again hands down I will be coming here. Also thank you to the young lady who chatted it up with me my last night on 1/16/23 as I was having a ruff time because I flew in to visit my granny who was in the hospital and it was an emotional visit. She spoke with me and we laughed and it ended with her giving me a hug. I really appreciated that. I’m so upset I forgot her name because she need to be recognized for her hospitality and her exceptional customer service people like her make stays like this out of this world great. Thanks CitizensM please never change the vibe.

Just had THE best stay in Chicago at CitizenM! The rooms are small, so be prepared for that, but they are high tech, modern, and super clean. There’s LED lighting you can change to set the vibe to fit your mood. Speaking of, the whole place is just a vibe! There’s quirky, fun art and objects ALL over the common spaces. Several cozy spots to hang, watch a game, have a drink. Best of all was the lounge/bar open 24/7 and it’s awesome staff. We had free drink & snack vouchers each day of our trip so we spent a lot of time there and the staff was just so accommodating and friendly!! Lala and Geo were my faves, but they were all wonderful. It was like a little family of vacation peeps and I was HERE for it. If you need a big room, this isn’t for you. But if you want a hip, chill vibe and fun experience, this did not disappoint!!!
