Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Farmington

It was a perfect family stay! So satisfied. Nice staff. Really liked the cleanliness and rooms. Very good breakfast!

Nice large clean rooms good for family or short stay

The hotel was new and clean, and the room was smartly designed to fit our needs as a family with young kids really well overall. I loved the shift to mounted big bottles of hand soap and shampoo and such rather than disposable bottles. It's not only eco conscious but was convenient to pump some quickly rather than messing with tiny bottles and caps in the middle of a shower or when washing your hands for the first time on arrival. Plus, less for tiny ones to mess with, as a bonus. On a down side, we eat real whole foods and there was zero fruit available at breakfast, not a banana or anything, just baked goods and things like that. It was incredibly disappointing for us. Staff were not great, though. It took me 2 days to get anyone to answer the phone when I tried calling with requests. The staff person I spoke to made it sound like they could accommodate a 1st floor room and provide a crib but when we got there they said we did not have a 1st floor room and could not unless we called through Expedia. Then there was no crib in the room. It didn't matter to us, but they didn't even have cribs, just pack and plays. It actually suited our needs better but might not for all. We ran into a staff person with a cleaning cart in the morning though who was very courteous. So, the hotel itself was very nice overall and we'd consider it again but the front desk staff experience was seriously lacking.

The stay was good, very clean the staff was friendly. The only thing I would say about is the room above us was noisy, the little kid(s) was running back and forth a lot in the mornings.

Noisy-could hear people next door and floor above. Sounded like little kids running across ceiling at night, Bed uncomfortable very hard. No extra toilet paper or kleenex in room-small amount left on roll. Edges of room carpet not clean had pieces of food. Coffee very good but breakfast has limited food-not restocked. More garbage cans needed in breakfast are. Pancake machine made pancakes size of quarters.

Everything other than the bathroom cleanliness was great. Bathroom toilet appeared to not have been cleaned, as there was dried blood and stool on the seat and underneath the seat/rim. There were also 2 used wash cloths hanging from the shower curtain bar. I wouldn't have complained but those is worrisome, as we have 2 young kids and I am immunocompromised and also on an immunosuppressant and get sick very easily. Other than the bathroom, everything was great.
