We stayed at this hotel with my family. It served its purpose. For the price, it was good. Only thing is, you can hear the highway vehicles.

I have stayed at this Microtel location many times over the last ten years when I am visiting family that reside in the area, particularly if it a brief visit (2 or 3 days). This Microtel is perfectly adequate for that. If one can afford it, I don’t feel that I can recommend it for longer stays and you would better off at one of the other area hotels that have larger rooms and more amenities. Again, for a stay of a day or two, it’s good.

We had a 3-night stay visiting family in the area. We were very happy with our stay. Staff were responsive. The room was quiet. Parking just outside. Short walk to Chilli’s Restaurant for pick-up. Complementary breakfast was good and the gym was good. Malls and shopping convenient. Erie Canal nearby too.

The Microtel Inn by Wyndham Victor/Rochester was running short-staffed, when we checked-in. That is fine. We have patience. The room we reserved over 8 weeks ago with 2 queen beds was unavailable at check-in. We could be put into a King room, we were told. As we are traveling as a family of three, this is not going to work. Finally, we took that room, and our daughter slept at a friend's apartment 10 miles away. We can be flexible. There was no coffee or hot water in the lobby all evening, nor cookies in the bin. Breakfast in the morning had empty trays for eggs and bacon at 8, 8:15, and 8:30 as we sat there and waited. There was no orange juice, cranberry, or grape juice. There was not a pot for hot coffee available until 8:15. There were no fruit and grain bars after 8. Refilled ingredients and beverages dod not seem forthcoming after we sat there over 30 min. Breakfast consisted of a bottle of water and a choc chip granola bar. No apologies. No haste. I do not think a warm breakfast was being served in the 8 o'clock hour during Orientation Week for a nearby college, when there were a number of families dropping off students. The room we were given was very clean, as was the bathroom. It was just too bad my whole family could not stay together or eat breakfast as planned.

Of all the hotels I stayed at during our more than two week, multi-state trip, this was easily the best! Service was wonderful, and the staff was so friendly. It was so nice to stay in a place where someone was on hand to refill the coffee machine and help my kids make waffles! The room was very clean, and so quiet and comfortable. The space is nicely laid out, with lots of shelves and a great window seat to make the most convenient and comfortable use of the space. This is the first hotel room I've been in that really was as comfortable and relaxing as being home. I recommend it to anyone!

Great stay at this hotel. Only 15 mins from the childrens museum in downtown Rochester, but also just 5-10 minutes away from Eastview Mall, Walmart, Target, Kohl’s, TJ Maxx, Five Below, Dollar Tree and a ton of Restaurants.

Yes I would like to tell you about my stay. The people at the front desk were friendly. However, I checked in on Sept. 8 and checked out Sept. 12. First day I asked if my room would be cleaned. They said they do it every other day. I scheduled it several times and no one cleaned my room and removed towels or changed sheets. I was there for a family emergency. I have never stayed anywhere, that they never cleaned the room. I feel I should receive a credit. I tried to talk to a manager, but of course he/she was never available.

If you are travelling with little kids, don't stay here!
There are NO PACK & PLAYS! I contacted Expedia twice to confirm that they had pack & plays, and they confirmed that there were pack & plays, however, when we got there, the manager told us there were not! We were baffled, because the website says there's pack & plays, and we also confirmed, so how can they not have a pack & play?! Also baffled by the manager's poor attitude, saying it was my fault, even though I tried confirming beforehand!
We were travelling with a young child and toddler, and my toddler cannot sleep without a pack & play (she will just be roaming around) in the room. That basically ruined our sleep at night, and as any parent knows, sleep is hard to get!
The hotel room was also very dirty, there were huge insects on the ceiling, on our bedding, in the bathroom tub, outside in the hallway... not sure why there are so many insects everywhere! You can tell the caulking was all cracked and ageing and it hasn't been cared for or repaired.
Breakfast options were also not great, not sure if it is because of COVID, but just very overly sweet pre-packaged pastries, packaged fruit cups, watered down coffee... not many healthy options. No water available either, which is strange, just juice options.
So don't let the pictures fool you, thinking it's a newer modern hotel, because it really isn't well maintained. The noise by the highway you can definitely hear as well. It is quite loud at night.

Near highway, dependable, clean, and nice. Stay here anytime I visit family in the area.
