Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott New York Brooklyn

Great hotel however FYI families the “double sofa bed” is not a pull out. We ended up having to switch to a different room because we couldn’t fit four.

The view at this hotel is amazing!! The cleaning, kitchen and front desk staff was so friendly and helpful. They recommended places to visit close to the hotel. This hotel is definitely family friendly. There is a play park, basket ball court and an open public pool opposite its location. The front desk gentleman Jay was kind, pleasant and professional. 5 stars for his service. I, my husband and 5 year old daughter stayed at this hotel. You can see the Brooklyn Bridge and Statue of liberty from the roof top. The Subway is not to far either for transport. The breakfast is amazing you get value for your money at this hotel.

The hotel is located in a safe, quiet neighborhood near many restaurants and close to the train station. There is a rooftop, open-air seating area that has to be experienced to be understood. It's that good. A nice, quiet and relaxing view even though you are in the NYC area. Easy walk to waterfront and Brooklyn Bridge. Highly creative playgrounds for kids and adults at the waterfront. Great breakfast buffet. Really saves money and good healthy options. This hotel is better than the average 3 star hotel. I hear that it was recently renovated. I can only say it was clean and upscale. I highly recommend this hotel.

Neighborhood seems a little sketchy but did not have any problems; however, the subway is at least 8-10 blocks away. A pretty far walk when you have two little ones in tow. Room comfort..room was a little small compared to some that I have stayed in, but it was very new looking and updated. Bed was very soft and pillows were way too soft. No fridge or microwave. Room cleanliness/hotel condition..room was very clean and needs were attended to quickly. Hotel was very nice, seemed relatively new. Rooftop deck was extraordinary. Hotel service..front desk personnel were excellent. Very helpful in getting to the subway and helping us get to where we wanted to go. Made sure to check in with us as we went in and out of the hotel for the day. Breakfast area is very small and while the selection of foods was nice, often had to wait on eggs, sausage, coffee, waffles, english muffins if you arrived after 730. When I asked for additional english muffins and waffle batter around 830 I was told they were out. No sorry for the inconvenience or can I offer you anything else. Overall this hotel was very nice and with a couple of changes it could be better. again the front desk personnel were all excellent. This hotel is not super close to the subway though.
