Surrounded by the famous Brooklyn Bridge, facing Manhattan, the view is first-class. But the elevator is very slow and the bathroom design is wonderful. There is no place to put clothes. The hotel is not family friendly. Only for couples. If you're done showering, you have to come out naked to scrub and get dressed. Because there is no place to hang towels and clothes in the shower

The view of the city was amazing! The park in front of the hotel is also a nice place to get out and enjoy the weather. Getting to Manhattan using the Dumbo ferry to pier 11 in the financial district was very convenient. My only complaint was the lack of privacy for the bathroom. The shower and toilet had glass doors facing the rest of the room. The public bathroom in the hotel lobby is also mixed use. Male and female in the same room with separate stalls. That may bother some if you have younger kids or something.

Eco friendly hotel but no toddler friendly. Natural earthy decor. Rooms has a industrial field to it. I love the fact that there is a water facet with triple filter water so that you don’t have to buy water bottles. Pros: - awesome view of the Brooklyn bridge and Manhattan skyline. - walkable to different food options. With a lot of good restaurants near buy - right next door to the NYC ferry that takes you over to Manhattan in just 5-8min - walking distance to the A train which can take you to the shuttle train to JFK Cons- - not toddler friendly. A lot of hard corners that they can walk into - bathroom is not in a separate room and shower doors are transparent. Not ideal if you are staying with a friend or older child or anyone you prefer not to see you naked - shower water was very hot even at the “coldest” option - valet parking is expensive $70/day

This property rests its laurels on the amazing views and location. Unfortunately, they fall short everywhere else. The rooms are noisy and without privacy. You can hear every word spoken from the neighbors you share a door with, or from anyone in the hallway. You have to imagine they hear you too. The rooftop music permeates down until 1am, followed by shuffling of chairs and tables until 3am. Then the housekeepers start early in the morning, so true peace and quiet is hard to come by. When the sun shone through the windows, we could see handprints from children who previously stayed in the room. The surface below the TV felt sticky to the touch. Makes you wonder what else wasn’t properly cleaned. Quality of the food is less than what you’d expect. Service in general is just not in the culture here, whether you’re at the front desk or at Harriet’s. Overall, it was a disappointing stay. We were really excited about this place, but would not stay here again.

We thoroughly enjoyed Hotel 1 Brooklyn Bridge. Our room had a fantastic view of Manhattan and the bridge. The Cafe on one was a great place to grab a coffee or bite to eat before we visited our new grandchild in Brooklyn. We also enjoyed the complementary car service we used twice during the week we stayed at the hotel. The lobby was relaxing and a great place to read or have a drink. We will be back and would love to stay in the same room. :)

We reserved two rooms for three nights. It was a family vacation. The third day they told us we had to move rooms to accommodate incoming guests. When we protested, they said we really didn’t have a choice. After we had totally packed up our things (with a baby) They said we could stay in our room—this was after I confirmed our rooms before we arrived and when we arrived. Our sons room they said they would give him an upgrade the last night and they packed their bags too and then said they didn’t need to move. Our meal in the restaurant took over an hour. They did comp it, but the baby was so hungry and we had to rush to meet our flight. Check out is at noon and we had people knocking on our door starting at 9 am. Overall, a bit disappointing.
