Family of four with two kids, 9 and 6, for one night. They got a kick out of the bunk bed room, and it was very comfortable for the adults. Staff was exceptionally courteous. Location was walkable, or a short T or Uber ride, if the kids were tired. Bathroom down the hall was clean and manageable - a minor inconvenience, but worth it considering the cost of other rooms in the area.

Wonderful experience for my family of four. Easy to walk all over Boston. The shared bathroom was clean and close by. Would stay there again.

The room I got had a very strong smell that made me nauseas and I couldn't stay at the hotel. There was also a baby next door that wouldn't stop screaming. The hotel was very cute though.

Loved the room itself, was perfect for our needs. The bathrooms were interesting being a shared bathroom but still private. Just got a bit annoying if having to go in the middle of the night. Location was great. Close to Boston Public Library, Fenway, and a Metro station( Green Line I think) The parking situation was abysmal, but that wasn't the fault of the hotel. I may have missed it in the ad on expedia but there was no mention of the parking being off location almost a mile away and $30/day until the day before our stay when the hotel messaged me about it. Great experience for a couple, group of friends, or a lone traveller, maybe not the best choice for a family with children.

We did not realise how small the room was until we arrived. It was not manageable for two family members (parent and adult child). we asked staff for an upgrade and they were very helpful in providing us other options in their hotel. Whilst our original room was not up to our expectations, the second room was and we enjoyed our stay in Boston. One lift out of service during the day made travel up and down lift very slow. The hotel was more catered towards youth/hostel vibe but we did enjoy the location.

This felt like kiddie hotel. In fact the Revolution had been a YWCA. The rooms are very small. I stayed in one of the supposedly larger rooms with a private bath and it still felt very small. Absolutely no room beyond the bed. The design plays with the idea of revolution, but in fact turns a serious idea into a silly marketing strategy. There are many sharp edges with the room fixtures, which is quite dangerous in a small room in the dark. I am still annoyed that the night desk clerk gave me the wrong hours for the restaurant that adjoins the lobby. It had closed it’s kitchen when I went to eat. This is not a cheap hotel. I would have been more comfortable at a more traditional hotel with less gimmicks and more interest in helping guests be comfortable and productive.

My kids liked the hotel and didn’t mind the shared bathrooms. I thought the bathrooms could have been monitored more for cleanliness. However, there was always a bathroom available when we needed it so that was great. The rest of the hotel was great.

Staff was welcoming and friendly, our room was so great! Nifty little shelves and bunks. We are two moms with 3 kids and it was just right for us. So much fun! And the basement co working space is very comfortable and accommodating.
