Superb stay at the AKA Backbay Boston. My family and I chose this hotel due to the calibre portrayed and proximity to areas of interest and transport routes.
This was a wonderful base hotel, with most of the trimmings of a 5* hotel. Close enough to everything we wanted to explore, yet far enough away from the noise and bustle to not be disturbed.
The only slight downside of a stay here is the lack of eateries nearby. Everything seemed a 10/15 min walk away, which after a full on day, did seem somewhat of a chore.

First room, TV did not work. Offered to replace TV or switch room. Faucet in bathroom could turn 360 degrees around.
Second room, power strip to tv did not work. Replaced. Nice corner room.
Had family for drinks at lower level bar. Tables wet, had to ask to get it wiped. No napkins with drinks. Server seemed to be uninterested in providing good service. Great location and perfect size hotel, less corporate looking and more intimate. I normally stay at the Westin Copley but had my pooch this time. Some of the porters just wonderful, pleasant and polite. Others, probably better at a different job.

Property is in a nice part of town- close to Boston Common, Beacon Hill, Hatch, and Heritage Trail. The front desk staff and valets were so friendly and helpful! Great place to stay with a family.

I could not fault our stay at this gorgeous hotel. All staff were wonderful, the room was beautiful & clean with comfortable beds, room service was so fast & delicious, location central with easy access to the subway. I stayed with my toddler & husband in a room with 2 double beds for 4 nights, for reference. We will stay here on our next visit to Boston!

While this hotel is beautiful, it doesnt offer much else, esp for the hefty price tag it comes with. I stayed here for a tournament held at the convention center. Upon arrival the bellhop, an older gent, was a bit aggressive with trying to get us out the car. Then i went to check in, the lady was polite, i asked her if my room was on the same floor as my daughter's team as i requested, she replied that she could not tell where other guests, were staying even though i was part of the group that had booked 10 plus rooms at the hotel. I let that comment go as it was late and i didnt have it in me to press the issue after driving for 5 hrs. So i finished checking in and she proceeded to inform me the elevators in the lobby were out of order and that i could use the "V.I.P" elevator in the back. As she walked me to the back to show me the elevators she wanted me to use, the elevator doors open and a (white) couple walks out and leaves the hotel. I dont want to think i was a race thing but it definitely felt like it. I took my family up to our room, and hoped that would be the end of the less than desirable service at this hotel. The room was very nice, a bit on the small side for a "Deluxe" suite, but esthetically pleasing nonetheless. The bathroom was beautiful and big! They could have definitely shared some of that square footage. The heated towel rack was anything but. Complementary coffee machine was broken and lastly i was charged 2x for the $60/day valet.

Hotel's location is great for a Back Bay and downtown Boston visit, transportation is close by and most places are within walking distance. We arrived very early and although room wasn't ready yet we got it earlier than regular check-in time. Reception staff were amazing and bombarded our kid with gifts. Rooms were very nice and spacious. We enjoyed our stay and will recommend it to others.

We were so happy with our stay at the Loews! This was our first time traveling with our 5 month old and the staff there helped make our stay so easy and comfortable! They had our room ready for us when we arrived early, with a mini crib in a big room with plenty of space for ourselves and our baby. Every staff member we encountered was so friendly and helpful. We had a great stay and will definitely be back!

Lovely hotel with attentive and respectful staff. It's a very short walk from the Amtrak station, which was one reason we chose to stay here. It was so quiet; I slept like a baby. The only thing I would change is the Keurig coffee in the room- the coffee was terrible and I couldn't drink it. My husband fetched coffee from the lobby, but it was the same bad pod coffee. I have to have my coffee first thing in the morning so that was a problem. Other than that, we had a lovely stay. The hotel restaurant was nice (and had good, brewed coffee).

Staff were very friendly & helpful. LOVE the coffee/tea service in lounge area. Restaurant didn’t have much my child wanted but staff was nice & it was nice to have restaurant taking orders until 930-10 because our flight got in late. Beds were comfortable!
