Brentwood Inn

The Brentwood Inn is located close to the Getty Center, the Getty Villa, and UCLA. It is near restaurants. Easy freeway access. The property is clean and well maintained, with a certain quaintness in the facilities. The rooms are quiet, with no noise from busy Sunset Blvd. or other guests. The establishment, dating from the 1940s, is family owned and operated. I will definitely stay here again, when I return to that corner of LA for cultural events.

We are from Florida, and we are not comfortable with the homeless situation in the LA area. We did not want to travel across the country to see needles, urine, and a dirty city. This place was heaven. Beautiful neighborhood, nearby dining, manicured surroundings. Very safe for Females and families. Safety and security was my main concern. This location was ideal. Easy to get to the small downtown and we took family walks around the area. I would have stayed there forever it was so lovely and convenient to Santa Monica, Malibu, and an hour's drive to Santa Barbara.

This is a small, boutique motel. We were in town for the LA Marathon. We've stayed at the Brentwood Inn before and enjoyed it. It appears to be remodeled version of an older motel, but it has been transformed in to California modern. It's on the corner in a residential neighborhood, kind of tucked away, but is perfect for us because family lives nearby,. We would definitely stay there again. The people are nice and they give you cookies!

If I stay again I’ll ask for a different room because of musty smell which - despite polite and willing staff coming twice to spray air freshener - did not go away. Before sleep I went around smelling everything in the room to see what it was; It was the carpet. But the property is vintage cute, the checkin staff were super nice. Housekeeping & list / found is still looking for a black ‘baby pillow’ I’m 100% sure I left on the bed… I have a broken arm and was using it in my sling, I had it on checkin, nobody was available to help me during checkout, and it’s the only location I went to after a Dr appointment on Wilshire. Hmm. We’ll see. Location is great for west LA. If I stay again though I’ll bring an extension cord from home, because they had zero functional (the one by the TV is not functional) outlets for computer charging / ups port charging at table level or near bedside table. Gosh … hmm … they could correct this in their 26 room property for 2k $ total just by replacing vintage lamps with new outlet/ usb port lamps. I don’t get it. Bed and sheets were good though.
