Why did the host offer me coffee at midnight?
Why was there no real breakfast when I paid for breakfast to be included?
Why isn’t the sign outside the same hotel name as on Hotels.com?
Why was this hotel room smaller than my childhood bedroom?
So many questions

Amazing customer service. Friendly and helpful. Clean and nice everything is walking distance to local stores, cafe and museum. Very happy with our stay will definitely return back with family.

Great stay with a family of 4. Wished they would have mentioned more openly that there was no elevator. Staff was very helpful though in carrying bags.

Great location and very convenient. I have stayed here (and at their other property in Santa Monica) and like the brand. The only complaint I have is that the walls seem thin and I had to contend with very noisy children and a barking dog in the middle of the night in the room next door. Perhaps I previously stayed during a quieter time but the hallway was also very noisy. Valet is expensive! Particularly when the valet merely parked on the street a few feet from the hotel and we were handed the keys and pointed in the direction of our car.

We - two adults, two children - booked the Palihotel Westwood Village because of the positive reviews and price we found at the last minute. The $42 (valet) parking fee was concerning but we easily found spots down the street and nearby. The room had a very cool curated vibe, with a good amount of space, and really comfortable beds. I would note that there is no elevator at this property (though only three floors), and while the shower had good pressure, it was pretty small/narrow — neither were issues for us. Also, Hotels.com lists “free breakfast” which was croissants, jam, oranges, and a machine that’s always available that dispenses various coffee drinks and hot chocolate, which were all surprisingly good. We didn’t interact with the staff much but they seemed pleasant - we were able to leave our bags for several hours before checking in. I would definitely recommend this Palihotel to friends.

Our room was not ready and they sent us to another hotel location, 20-min drive away. What fun at midnight, with two children! The hotel never made any attempts to compensate us for this trouble. Moreover, they even tried to charge us an additional $40 for the rollout bed they had to put in our substitute room so that we could spend a night (we booked two queens but had to spend the first night in one king). When the next day we moved to our originally booked, hotel, the staff there was pretty clueless about the whole situation, so we had to keep explaining to them what happened. In all, this establishment is a mess and we won't stay there again. Oh, and, btw, it does not smell well either.

Staff was nice and helpful. There’s no parking and you have to pay about $50 for valet unless you want to repark your car at the beginning of the day and end of the day on the street. I had a toddler with me and she would follow me back and forth and I guess had heavy feet, so walls are thin and you can easily hear above you. It was hard trying to keep a toddler on the bed at all times so the people below wouldn’t complain again. That was stressful. So I would definitely say this place isn’t kid friendly.

The hotel is stylish and comfortable. The kitchen in the lobby is convenient and there seem to be enough room for all guests to enjoy the free coffee and croissants in the morning. The rooms are super clean and updated. The only drawbacks were no tissues, no towel bar near the bathroom sinks for hand towels and the rooms are a little dark but we would definitely stay here again, our whole family love it.

Amazing room, beautiful and well appointed though small. Perfect for single guests, would be challenging for a couple or family stay.
Delicious espresso and croissants.
Difficulty with having double payment authorization holds made to my card, and did not receive a receipt.

As a frequent and global traveler for both business and pleasure, I found the Palihotel Westwood to be amongst the most enjoyable stays I've experienced. The style is impeccable with an eye for convenience and upscale features that are not found everywhere. In LA this particular location was perfect for my intinerary. I believe there are three other locations in the city, probably equally as accommodating and well appointed. The staff was excellent. The rooms are suited for one or two persons, perhaps not a family destination, but one for the single or couple wanting the privacy and service this hotel delivers. I will stay again when in Los Angeles.
