Great hotel for kids

Buyer beware! Many hidden fees at this hotel. The hotel staff were professional, the rooms were clean/comfortable, location was good. Regrettably, I am compelled to share my concern for the hidden fees they add to your hotel bill at check out. Guest amenity fee $32/day + a plethora of LA city fees totaling $26/day. In addition, the hotel is still charging a "Hotel Worker Protection Ordinance Surchage" fee of $11.75/day. This fee was added to every bill during the Covid pandemic. The pandemic is over, it's Q4 2023. Covid is now better characterized as endemic like the flu. In total we paid 69.75.day in additional fees not disclosed during the booking process or at check in. My family stayed a total of 5 nights so the total additional charge was 348.75! You can imagine my annoyance at check out. Avoid this feeling, book your stay elsewhere. 100% lack of transparency from this organization.

Solid value in right in on Wilshire and close to UCLA, shopping, and reasonable proximity to Santa Monica and other tourist type areas. Staff is very friendly, attentive and addressed our family by name after our first day which is rare these days esp for just a short, 3-night stay.

The staff here is extremely friendly and accommodating. With that said, the rooms are outdated and the hotel itself is pretty dark. On the topic of cleanliness, there are noticeable scuff marks on the base boards and the walls and doors look like they could use a good wipe down. I also noticed that the jets in the jacuzzi tub look old and dirty, in need of a deep cleaning. The do offer a complementary wine hour everyday in the lobby from 5-6 which is a nice little bonus and the game room has fun stuff to do for the adults and children. The pool was disappointing as there were only 3 lounge chairs and the area was filled with falling leaves and the small pool is awkwardly situated. The location is great, and the hotel offers complimentary rides up to 2 miles. Would I stay here again, probably not. I do, however, want to emphasize how extremely friendly the staff is.

Perfect stay with our kids and dogs! Great staff! The valet made it easy to park and were accommodating and helpful. Front desk fast and friendly. Restaurant had good food. Pool are was nice. About a 10 minute walk to Target and food options. There is also a dog park that is about a 15 minute walk.
