We live in LA, but lost AC during a heatwave and needed a last minute flexible place to stay. Our room was huge, quiet, and beautiful, with two balconies (courtyard and city), and a fully appointed kitchenette and laundry. We will recommend this to family when they come to visit us. Our *only* issue was finding the actual entrance when we arrived late at night, hot, and exhausted (it’s to the right of the grand staircase shown in the photos), but that is probably on us and was super minor.

This hotel is the best hidden gem in Westwood! My partner and I usually stay at Casa Del Mar but due to its unavailability, I found this place for us and we will definitely stay here again and recommend to our friends! Also this is perfect for families visiting their loved ones at UCLA hospital or students at UCLA!!! We loved it! SO quiet the room was huge and spacious with two big closets!!!!

This was such an amazing property we were greeted with the friendliest concierge and felt like we were given a vip experience.me and my family got the live/work loft and was such a beautiful place to stay at for a couple nights. We didnt want to leave we felt right at home. All the appliances were great, the kitchenette was perfect for what we needed. The whole place was well decorated with comfy chairs and sofas. The bed was really nice with extra soft pillows. The stairs leading up to the courtyard were so beautiful was a great place to take pictures. There were so many places within walking distance to check out with really nice restaurants. We felt really safe in the neighborhood even during the nighttime. It felt like an old town with all the buildings and structures. Would definitely stay here again :)

I love this location - it’s close to my family and it’s just a great neighborhood. The hotel is beautiful but my experience was not great. The room had limited natural light as there were no windows just doors that had the view of the adjacent building. If you like a dark room this is the room for you just not for me. It’s difficult for me to sleep and the temperature in the room was difficult to control so it got really hot at nights coupled with the time clock on the microwave that illuminated into the bedroom. I requested a room change twice but it was told it was either too early or too late and it just never happened. So I basically had very little sleep in the span of the 3 nights that I was there. Too bad for me.

Nice boutique style hotel in a great area. I’ve have stayed her a few times already for business and meetings nearby. This would also be a great place for families visiting UCLA as well. Such a great location for walking to coffee shops and restaurants. Also a very close grocery store, movie theatre, and museum. No need to walk across busy streets! No need to even drive! You do pay for parking, which isn’t cheap, however, this is not unusual for L.A. The parking is gated and underground, which is very convenient and safe. Rooms are spacious and very nice, with larger than the tiny fridges you’re used to seeing, microwave, keurig, dishwasher, and dishes. Staff is incredibly friendly and communicative. Laundry facility is on site. No restaurant on site, however, see comments above.

I've stayed at PLR several times and have always been impressed with the spaciousness, comfort, and cleanliness of the rooms. Also, Troy, who works the front desk is a Godsend - he's one of the most personable and helpful hotel staff members I've ever met. He was infinitely attentive and accommodating to me and my family during our recent stay. Needless to say, it's the staff and brilliant rooms that make PLR our go-to destination when visiting Los Angeles.

This was our second stay at the hotel. We liked it the first time and learned a few tricks but were even happier this time! The space felt the same size but was better because the bedroom had a door and the sleeper sofa was a double/queen size which was perfect for my two small children to sleep in. We travel as a family and need the kitchenette space for early breakfasts and storing all the snacks. Closet space is huge if you travel with a lot of stuff. We also love the washer/dryer for any potty training emergencies (which there were none this time!)
