The rooms are notably dirty. Housekeeping needs to do a better job cleaning the rooms. The rooms need painting, the furniture needs updating, and there was an odor in the room. The deli market on site is small but nice, I wish it didn’t close at 7pm. It does have a great kids pool area however the play area was closed. It also has a nice beach access area. I feel like I over payed for what I got.

Driftwood Shores is a fabulous place to stay. Place is very quiet with a nice ocean view and the swimming pool was available for the grownups and the kiddos

We were pleasantly surprised that the room had a FULL kitchen, complete with full sized fridge and dishwasher. We were expecting a kitchenette. The aqua center was great with a huge hot tub with a little fountain in the middle, a regular pool, a kiddie pool, and a splash area. It was open for everyone until 10 pm but adults only 10-midnight. Super nice to have adults only time without shrieking kids! Every room has a great view of the ocean—watch the sunset right from your own balcony! Don’t miss the Darlingtonia carnivorous plants boardwalk just 7 minutes away. Just a quick roadside boardwalk, but there are hundreds of these Cobra Lillies!

Chose this as a roadtrip stop along the coastal highway and it did not dissappoint! Asked for a higher floor and were accommodated with a 4th floor (the highest) room with a balcony overlooking the shore. I think that the balcony rooms are preferable to ground floor rooms being that there is a bit of foot traffic at that level with everyone going from the hotel to the beach, including toddlers and pets who seemed to randomly roam onto many guests' "patios." However, being ground floor makes for the easiest access right to the water, we just liked the privacy of the high balcony, and the view was superb from higher up! The sunset was spectacular, the barn swallows who nest all around the building are adorable (though we did turn on some white noise around 7am when they were at their loudest), and the front desk ladies were both very nice. Check in and check out was super easy, they just ask for ID and plate # for parking. The bathroom/shower were very clean, adequate towels provided, though the TP is super thin, though I find that quite typical at any hotel. Our one complaint would be that the bedding is very light- they don't give any warm layers; we assumed this was to discourage folks from leaving their sliding doors open overnight, so I suppose that must be effective! Those small critiques aside, we had an amazing time here even though we only stayed one night. We have noted this down as a place we'd love to stay again next time we do this road trip along the west coast!

I was recommended this place by my family and understood that the building was old. The property itself was in okay condition, but considering the price for the room it was unimpressive. The check in area was under construction and redirected through a maintenance closet door. The worst part of the stay was the egregious amount of noise that was audible from above us. Constant children sprinting, walking, coughing, etc. well past midnight. We were also awoken at 0800 sharp by a fire alarm, as a result of burnt food in another room. Hotel staff failed to turn it off for almost 15 minutes. I would never come back for the huge amount it costs.

Great room. Great view off balcony. Full kitchen and I loved the shower products! Service counter was exceptional for info and quite welcoming!. Gotta love the pool area, hot tub is huge. Splash space for kids and a dressing rooms. Indoor play area for rainy days. And for those needing a bit of help…. Elevators!!!

Loved how easy it was to get to the beach! My husband and i stayed here for one night for our anniversary, and it truly was divine. We got to choose which for we wanted, and had the most glorious view of the ocean. Let the door open at night so e could sleep to the sound of the waves. So serene. Really enjoyed seeing families that were so happy, playful pups too! Were coming back soon with our dog, fur sure. Staff was friendly, accommodating. Parking was easy, but seemed to fill up quickly. We thought the menu prices at the attached diner/cafe was a little high, so we went to a nearby place called Mari's Kitchen - WOO yummy food!! This place was perfect. Thank you!

This is always a wonderful stay, mainly based on location and room cleanliness. Hotel staff are usually very friendly and accommodating also. One problem we had this year was the chlorine in the air at the indoor pool was hazardous to breathe the night of our stay and had people vomiting. We were pretty disappointed because this was the biggest thing our kids were looking forward to.
