The positives first: We were there for our anniversary, and they placed flower petals in a heart on the bed and left us a bottle of Elderflower Lemonade with a lovely card. Every room has a balcony with good chairs that face the ocean. The robes in the room were plush, cozy and warm. The fireplace makes it very romantic. Beds are very comfortable! Now for the not-so-positives: while the bed are comfy, they are SO HIGH off the ground that me and my 6'2" husband had trouble getting up on them! In our room, the carpet was treadbare near the bathroom, and the tack strip was exposed. It wasn't pleasant when I stepped on it! Also, the lower rail on the balcony plexiglass was rusted out, and the glass dropped down which made it dangerous for my grandchildren to be on the balcony. And just one personal peeve: the toilet paper is this and rough. My wife did bring the safely issues to their attention, and they were very receptive. We have stayed here many times, and this was our least favorite stay. The hotel recently sold, so we are hopeful for a return to their prior greatness!

If you are in Newport OR, this is the best place to stay. 1. All rooms are beach facing and sunsets are viewable from the balcony 2. Double bed rooms are king sized 3. Pets allowed 4. The sink is outside the bathroom. This is a great help when you are with family. 5. Nice eating joints, all within 3 mile radius. 6. Many beaches and lighthouse within 5 mile radius. 7. Good pool, hot tub and fire pit! Great service and decent parking spaces. Cons: Keycard seems fickle. Keeps getting demagnetized often. More of an annoyance than a con. Breakfast is basically grab and go. Not much to write about. Overall, great place to spend time with family.

Overall our family had a great time at this property! We liked the pool and the fire pit area. We also loved the rooms and the balcony! The staff were all very friendly from the moment we were checking in until we checked out. A few areas that could be improved- breakfast. There could be more options for fresh fruit, milk(that’s not almond) and more hot options would be Great! They have cookies at 7pm, and offered salmon chowder in the lobby at 5 pm for free which was very nice! They also offer free water bottles for guests as well. The biggest downfall of this hotel is that there is not direct access to the beach right off the hotel. You have to walk a few blocks down to get to the beach which can be inconvenient. If there is a way to make stairs, path, etc directly down to the beach from this property, they should definitely consider it! But overall we had a great time and would stay here again.

They told us they couldn’t accommodate us because we had 3 kids with us and they said they can only accommodate 4 people per room. I did book for 4 people because there was only 4 of us going but on the last day our sitter cancelled and we had to take out third child with us. We drove for 4 hours and when we get there they tell us they won’t let us get our room even though they have 2 king beds that will easily fit all 5 of us. Very disappointed and the front desk was very rude. Had to drive 4 hours back home.

Lack of maintenance at the property, no heater or air conditioner for two nights. our room was overly hot when we got there then freezing both nights having to get up every hour just to turn the fireplace on because my kids were cold and you get a I hope you had a great time other than that from the staff. Our room was dirty and someone previously left a large dog in the bathroom and there’s scratches and damage to the whole interior of the bathroom just overall a poor stay with a staff that turns a blind eye to issues.

My husband and I stayed with a toddler and an Infant and we loved it. Amazing hotel with incredible views of Nye beach. Waking up every morning to the waves and watching the sunset from Our balcony was wonderful! It had such a nice little cozy enclosed fireside area that was shaded from the wind. The perfect place to enjoy the nightly tasty salmon chowder they served! The room was clean and large, we enjoyed two king beds! The fireplace is a nice touch too to warm up on a windy or rainy day. The staff were great and helpful giving local recommendations. And the 7pm cookies were something my son sure loved! They had a nice little green and go breakfast. It was a quick walk down to the beach. Would definitely recommend anyone to stay here!!

This was a great new spot for us to try while visiting family in Newport. The pool was very cold so unless it’s summer or you like a cold swim, I wouldn’t plan to use the pool during the colder months. There was some work ing done in the pool building though.

This is hands down the best hotel at the coast! Everything was immaculate, there were so many cool things included like free chowder and cookies! The free breakfast had so many options that each of my picky eater kids had a full breakfast! I had a rough check in which was 100% my fault, and both Caleb and Andrew were the kindest, most understanding, and hospitable humans! They were both so professional even while I was being less than great, and problem solved so quickly FOR me. I am so thankful for them and hope they get a raise! The bed at the hotel was amazing, I slept like a baby! We kept the door open to listen to the waves all night and it was so peaceful and I felt very safe. The beach is literally RIGHT there! Only maybe a 3 minute walk down to the beach, too. We had the whole pool and spa to ourselves, and ate our dinner by the fire pits while watching the sun set. It was a perfect trip, I never once felt unsafe, and I will only stay here now when I visit Newport! Give Caleb and Andrew a raise!
