Was bothered twice while DND was on the door about “our smoke detector alarming down at the front desk” until Maintenence removed it for being broken/faulty because we definitely DONT SMOKE and showed them the room and lack of any kind of smoke anywhere (leaving my whole family in danger if there were an ACTUAL fire as they left us without a fire detector that whole night) when I voiced my concerns and asked if I would be reimbursed for such an inconvenience/danger to my family, was told the manager would be contacted and I would hear back. Never heard back. Sad for the Hilton name to be attached. Disappointing to say the least. Stayed 3 days, never again.

Water poodles in the bathtub, disgusting; no night light in the bathroom, extreme bright to use at night. The curtains we not sufficient, the roll up blind was smaller the window and would not darkened the room enough. Breakfast was not what we expected; overcrowded, no place to sit, dishes not replenished in due time. We had a family on top of our room, with children running and jumping off bed way past 10:30pm, it was a nightmare.

I'll get my gripe out right away, I paid more $ for this hotel because it had a hot tub. Turns out the hot tub was out of order due to the equipment being flooded the night before. So after 10 hours of driving there was no relaxation in a hot tub for my family. I was told the equipment was replaced and that the water is heating back up, perhaps so but it was eventually closed with an out of order sign for the night and morning. We only had 1 night here.
Ok, other than the hot tub issue everything else was very good. Clean rooms, lobby, eating area, elevators, exercise room. The bar seemed small but I didn't use it. I do question the use of a sliding door for the bathroom, it doesn't seal very good and there is no loud fan in the bathroom, so every bathroom noise is heard in the room, this seems to be a common thing with hotels now.
First breakfast was great and so was second breakfast an hour later. Long hours, good variety, need to keep the milk colder longer.
I'd give 5 stars all around if the hot tub worked.

The staff at the front desk was very accommodating when I arrived. I needed to check in early to get ready to attend a funeral of a beloved family member and the staff made some calls and arranged it. In addition, they were very polite and professional.
The rooms are large and are clean. The facilities at the hotel include an indoor pool and fitness center.
I would definitely stay here again.

The room was clean and nice . But I didn’t like that they didn’t gave my room key until the next day. I got there and the front lady said that the system was down. So we could go out to eat because someone had to stay in the room.. and she said that she will slay the key down the door at midnight but she didn’t. They gave us the key the next day around 10 am when with went downstairs to the lobby. That was a horrible experience for me and my family. I hope they fix there system.

Was hoping to have a relaxing few days. Note to self: do not visit during tax return season and school winter break, the hotel felt like a jungle gym, kids running wild no parents. All of this I can forgive, but don’t waffles at breakfast-that was unforgivable.

My husband and I have stayed here several times because of its proximity to my son’s home. The breakfast area, choices and cleanliness are excellent. The woman, Susan who manages it is friendly and helpful.
Though our check in was simple and quick we noticed during our 5night stay that there frequently was no one at the desk. Twice we called the desk with a question. Once the phone was answered after 14 rings, once it wasn’t answered at all.
We took our grandchildren to the pool and there were no towels and no one at the desk to help.
The condition of the hotel is starting to go down. We had a towel hook coming off the wall in the bathroom and the window shade is beginning to shred on the sides.
For the first time we noticed noise in the hallway and in the room above us which disturbed our sleep.

I have family in the Fairport, NY area and have stayed at the Hampton inn, Penfield several times. We like it because it’s convenient location and it’s generally very quiet, clean, and has comfortable beds. This time my husband and I decided to splurge and try one of the rooms with a balcony on the sixth floor. The room and the balcony are spacious, but the furniture on the balcony is uncomfortable and stained. Though the room is large, there is limited space to store clothing. The door to the one three-drawer cabinet opens against the large Heating/AC unit, so you can’t open it fully to access the pull out drawers (baskets). The leg was loose on the attached desk. Also the piped-in music outside the elevators on the sixth floor was blaring when we arrived and we could hear it in our room. We asked the staff at the front desk to lower the music and they did so promptly. The staff is friendly and responsive, but they need to improve the maintenance and efficiency of the rooms and furnishings.
