Kansas City Airport Marriott

We’ve stayed at a number of hotels near the Kansas City airport over the years. The Marriott is by far and away the nicest location out of those within a 3 mile radius of the airport. The facilities are simply at another level compared to the competition. We found the hotel to be very clean and the room modern and comfortable. The room size is adequate for a couple or a small family; for reference we are a couple with a small child and stayed in a king size room. The restaurant in the hotel is also pretty good for airport hotel standards. They have a good selection of beers on tap and a full bar. The food is more steaks, burgers, barbecue, so those looking for more vegetarian dishes should look elsewhere. Finally, the shuttle service to the airport was very convenient. The shuttle was on time and got us to the terminal within 10 minutes. Overall, we will stay here again as needed when returning to Kansas City.

Very disappointed with the check in staff. Room was dusty and dirty toilet and tub clogged not even one toilet roll left in bathroom. Called for the desk for toilet paper I was informed they only had one worker so I sent my children to the front desk to pick it up. When they arrived at he front desk they were told they didn’t have any. I called to get the toilet unclogged and did not get anyone until the next morning for the same issue that they did not have any engineering to take care of issues. Very disappointed we also got bitten by bugs. Will never stay at this particular hotel again. I had stayed at Cancun Marriott just 3 weeks ago. And that’s why I chosed to stay with them in Kansas. But very disappointed will never go back. On day of check out yesterday I mentioned to management and he said he was going to get back to me left him my phone number and to this hour of day I have not yet heard from anyone. Did not even received an apology. Maybe they did not care because they saw that I’m a Hispanic or simply management don’t care.
