So usually when I leave a review I focus on cleanliness and value, etc. which were both perfect but I have to aim this review more towards the staff, specifically a gentleman named Jesse who was working the front desk. I travel often and it’s been a long time since I had someone check me in that actually gave me the level of customer service and welcomed us in a manner that made us happy to be there! So much in fact that we came back and stayed again the following weekend! I don’t know who needs to hear this afa management or whoever is in charge at Sonesta but that repeat business was because of your worker Jesse and my suggestion would be to promote or do something to keep him around cause he was phenomenal at his job! Enjoyed talking with him both weekends and honestly will be my go to hotel when I come down for games/trips! Thank you Jesse for making me and my family feel welcome, hope to see ya next time we come down!

Worst birthday weekend ever! I booked a double queen suite pullout couch 3 weeks ahead of time. I get there, check is normal. Manager was standing less than 5 feet away. I go to my room only to see what I booked was not the room I was put in.
Come to find out, they put someone else in the room I booked without sending an email, text, calling me, sending a message on hotels.com app. But they can send a mesaage for $10.00 breakfast. They tell me the only thing they can do is give me 50% off my hotel.
Not once did they come in to empty the trash, bring fresh towels. I couldn't call down to customer service, but they could call me.
After staying there and making sure we didnt leave anything. I found someone ELSE'S DIRTY SOCKS AND CHEWED SUNFLOWER SEEDS BEHIND THE LIVING ROOM TV STAND. It was also sunflower seeds behind the tv in the bedroom. Sheets were not cleaned. I would never stay here again. This was the worst experience and my family always travels to KC.

Bed was amazingly comfortable, can't say the same for the pull out bed so kiddo ended up sleeping on just the couch.
The pool area was right next to our room and things were very rowdy in the evening until it closed but i think there was some kind of boys sports team staying there?? Pool isn't very big so was crowded easily. We had to get towels at front desk as the pool was out.
Fridge in room never got cold it's some weird press the button for 2hr cold so don't expect much.

The property was fine. What I had a problem with was the horrible noise and chaos the multitude of kids and young teens caused.. I waited until a hour before the pool area closed and a staff member chased out the problem individuals and locked the side doors.. i was hopeful i would get at least 30 minutes of peace to find that i had been locked in and i had to use a side door and made to walk all the way to the front when my room was right next to the end of the building… I most likely won’t be returning this ruined my whole weekend and i have been waiting for a year to come back.. sooo disappointed and with paying almost $400 for one night stay all i can say it was money and time wasted.. i really wish things could have been better.. i am so beyond disappointed in this experience

Good hotel. Quiet except for the pool…it was unbearable with a group of screaming kids. We went the next night after the kids left and the hot tub was nice.

I'm glad I didn't need the pool because it was under constructions. Families with kids should call ahead about that. There were some outlets that didn't work, but there were always other outlets I could use. I really liked the lobby with a TV, various seating options, and fireplace. Cozy.

Did not say that pool was closed till after I paid the night and told me it was gonna be too long of a process to get my money back so we decided to just stay there with no pool for kids.

My first experience with the hotel was when I called to see about an early check in. I had called about an hour early for check in, because we had some plans change. The individual I spoke to reminded me early check ins cost $$, ok understood, was my room ready? Her response was we should have some rooms ready for check in, to which I replied, I want to make sure I receive the room I have already booked and paid for. For what ever reason she did not like the fact I requested the room type I'd already paid for, she gave me a smart a** response, which definitely made me not want to spend any extra money here. Fast forward to our room (the lady working the check in once we arrived later that night was much more pleasant), neither of the two TV's we had, had working sound. So trying to keep kids entertained and the pets we had at ease with background noise was not a possibility. Additionally, the "to-go breakfast" that is advertised for $10 was very lacking. Basically, a bagel, fruit and maybe one more option thrown in a plastic to go box. The lack of customer service and hotel service since C-19 has gotten ridiculous.
