DoubleTree by Hilton Chicago - Arlington Heights

Property is clean but a little shabby. Outside has a beautiful pond with a walking track. Outside had a lot of trash around the fence lines ruining the full effect. Pet friendly which was great for our out of town family emergency/death. Employees are very friendly. Had advertised free breakfast which was not available. No microwave or refrigerator in room. Made it difficult when we had extra food left overs. Just had to throw them out. Vending machines were completely out of drinks.

Very disappointed. Stayed there 1 night, there were 5 of us, my wife and I and three kids. My brother and dad also had a separate room. The linen in their room and ours had stains. My kids were really looking forward to the pool and the pool was really gross, lots of stuff floating around and dirty foam could be seen. We complained to front desk and they didn’t care just said they will call maintenance. It was dirty for two days and didn’t seem like they were making any effort to clean it. Really expected much better service and property from Hilton.

It was convenient for the family we were visiting. The person working the check-in was nice and helpful. We didn't spend long there though (1 night, arrived at 9 pm and left by 6 am)

Our stay was actually pretty bad. When we arrived we asked if it was we could store our baby milk in a refrigerator and our ice packs in a freezer since our rooms didn’t have one. The front desk said no they don’t accommodate that. Our room was very basic, and only had 1 towel for my family of 4. The pool also didn’t have any towels and was ice cold. My daughter lasted about 10 minutes before she was shivering with purple lips. Our bath tub had at least 3 different spiders in it from the 3 days we were there and when I took a bath for my daughter there was hair that didn’t belong to her in the tub the first night. The fire alarm went off twice. At around 6am the fire alarm went off (false alarm) and woke up both children and then it set the mood for the entire day. It went off a second time about an hour later. I don’t know how they usually are but this was probably the least family friendly stay I have ever had. We were expecting much better from Double Tree.
