Excellent location with nice balcony beach view. Publix supermarket at walking distance. Vilano Beach is a family friendly and dog friendly beach.

Loved this charming place! We stayed in the downstairs Beach House. Unit was clean and perfect for our family of 4. Employees were kind and ready to help with anything. The continental breakfast was a nice start to our day. We hope to come again!

The views from the balcony are breathless, however the hotel room lacks cleanliness, it is out dated. One thing stuck out- the fitted sheet on the box springs had a large stain on the side looked like someone vomited on the side of the bed and no one bothered to clean it. The pool is not a hotel pool, it is basically the size of a hot tub. We were going to going swimming and unfortunately there was a family of 5 already in it and no room for more. The hotel was conveniently located next to the beach. We reviewed the reviews for this hotel, and I am unsure how it was rated that high. Very dirty hotel room.

This place is great. Nice ocean view and very close to all the attractions in St Augustine. The rooms are clean and do not smell like smoke. My family and I could easily spend several nights here and be comfortable.

For a quick weekend stay, it was fine. We had a suite, as we were with our 3 kids (two of whom are quite grown). We did have an ocean view, which was beautiful. The lodge is dated, but we don't care so much about that, it was comfortable. Overall, it was clean, but the carpet had tons of stains on it. We had 1.5 bathrooms, and 2 small refrigerators, which was perfect. We also had a microwave.
It was a very short walk to the beach, and also to various restaurants, shops and even a Publix.
The price seemed a little steep for the off season (mid-December), but for the beach access, it was worth it. If you are looking for luxury, this is not your place, but if you want family friendly, I would recommend Oceanview Lodge.

Great value, location and walking distance to food, groceries, activities. Staff was very friendly and communicative. FREE parking (other hotels in area charge $15+ nightly fees!) All rooms have balconies, face ocean with public parking lot between. Stayed in Jr. Suite (1Q, 1T), which was spacious and perfect for a solo traveler or family with 1 child. Room was mostly clean but some furniture needs replacing. Bed was somewhat uncomfortable, but that is subjective.
