voco St. Augustine Historic Area, an IHG Hotel

Great hotel & customer service! Booked a double queen room and was able to change to a King since we’re a couple with a small baby. Only negative (for me) was that the shower water was very cold but I like very hot showers. My husband doesn’t and he didn’t find an issue with the water temperature.

I loved our stay in Voco. We stay from 8/25 - 8/30. At first when we started looking for hotels I wasn't sure which one to choose. Since we had a bad experience before with Holiday Inn. I read the reviews and they were all amazing and were not wrong at all! Actually the reviews don't make it justice to Voco of how amazingly and beautiful stay we had/is. Front desk supervisor was super nice and check-in smooth.The housekeepers, hotel manager, & all the staff in general were so friendly & amazing. They were so chill and made us feel welcome like we were in our home away from home. The pool was clean & amazing. Our Room was facing towards the pool & it was nice and quiet. The voco reminds me of SpongeBob under the sea(in a great way). I love the hotel structure & building make it looks very beachy & like your under the ocean in sore of a way. The room atmosphere was very clean, calming, and the pictures in the wall amazingly beautiful. It was conveniently close to everything the Lion's Bridge, St. Augustine Beach, the A1A scenic beach drive & off course downtown historic charm & close to El castillo as well. Overall I will stay here again. By the way nowadays is very rare to find a hotel that takes the time, effort, & make you feel like family. Which also includes free parking, free wifi & off course you can't beat it free 5 star 😉 breakfast (top notch). Other hotels nowadays due to inflation or the economy charge u an arm & half of you body to be able to stay at a nice hotel.

Our room was at the very end of the second floor. I love how the bar is right by the pool and the cabanas and lounge are nice. The kids have fun with the pool and overall the cleanliness and friendly staff.

There was dust on the backsplash of bathroom sink and the swinging glass door in lieu of the shower curtain was not effective. Room was right off the pool deck so heard noise. Sounds transmitted thru walls - crying kids and tapping dogs. Couldn’t add my IHG number to the stay. Breakfast buffet was so so too. Really understaffed for a holiday weekend.

Overall it was a great property for our family vacation. The location, staff, and room were perfect! We would definitely stay there again!
