Sandman Signature Newcastle Hotel

This is a nice hotel with very friendly staff. The family room had a fridge, microwave etc which was really handy. The window in the bedroom wouldn't shut so made for a noisy awakening from a building site across the road but when i mentioned it to the desk they gave me complementary parking. The only weird thing was the room advertises a safe big enough to fit a laptop. But this safe was in a wardrobe with sliding doors. The sliding doors didnt open enough to be able to open the safe door!! Overall a nice hotel - would stay again!

Check in was delayed but the staff were really helpful and friendly, we didn’t have a long wait. The room was super hot and noisy we were facing the back of the hotel where there’s lots of generators and fans, we couldn’t close the windows as it was so hot. The room was ok it was very clean but quite tired looking, the doors were wobbly and the kettle wouldn’t work, the pictures definitely make the room look better, ok for 1 night but if there’s 4 people any longer than that would be a struggle. If you’re booking for small children the bunk bed is ridiculously high luckily we were all adults but we still struggled to get up there. We did have a nice stay though but there’s definitely room for improvement on the rooms

Very disappointed with the room . The pictures are not what I got . It was supposed to be a junior suite. It was a double room, which was tiny, and devided by a wall. This was no suite ☹️The awful glass door did not shut it came off the wall which my husband had to put back on the awful rails…it was tired and very dusty. No dressing table, the shower grouting was unfinished.

This property is awful. If i could give it less than 1 star I would. Dirty dingy awful rooms. Parking is in a horrible area several blocks away. No AC. Rooms and showers have seemingly not been cleaned in a long time. Mattress is awful. Our family literally discussed sleeping in the car in the garage as it was cleaner and more comfortable. Stay away from this hotel at all costs. If its the only hotel left in the city, sleep on the street.

The hotel was top notch but could do with bottled water in room and replenish tea & coffee on longer stays . The breakfast was very good with choice of products . The shark bar could do with opening earlier and closing later for residents also could sell nuts and crisps not just to order off menu’s overall will stay again and recommend to friends & family as location is great for city centre

Spent 3 nights in a junior suite at Sandman Newcastle. Rooms comfortable but a bit tired. In-room amenities make the rooms attractive, but a little extra thought could make them terrific; tea towel & dish soap, saucepan, microwave safe bowl & utensils
