My daughter and I stayed for 2 nights for a city break. It was an excellent central location, staff were friendly and helpful at all times. We booked a junior suite and it was very modern and clean with a huge comfy bed. Breakfast was excellent with a good choice of both continental and cooked breakfast, we would definitely recommend the waffles. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to family and friends.

Great place to stay in the city centre. Nicely presented hotel, lovely staff in reception, fabulous location (easy walk from train station, loads of bars and restaurants nearby, easy walk to St James’s Park) and good value for money. Will definitely stay there again if visiting Newcastle and would recommend to friends and family.

The room was nice and clean but ridiculously noisy. The windows did not block out any of the traffic or street noise at all. Road works outside started early but we were awake as we had been up since 1am when the fire alarm went off! It was like being in student halls again. Not exactly the restful, child free night we had hoped for. Don’t think we’d stay again.

I booked one of the junior suites and to be honest there was nothing special about it. Felt like the same as a standard room, very expensive for what it was. The room was boiling with no way to cool the room down. Stayed for two nights and no one gave us fresh towels even though we requested this. Asked for room service and they had a menu with limited options. Not sure I would go back as was very expensive for two nights in what was meant to be a suite.

I booked a junior suite to have a late anniversary celebration with my husband. I informed the hotel at check in that i am a medical cannabis patient and where could i take my medication, to be told where the smokers are outside. I did this on the friday night after having been out and got abuse and agression from the security guard and the manager, he even put his hands on our friend and they called the police on me, to be told i am not doing anything wrong it is legal medicine. No grab rails in the bathroom which resulted in myself and my husband having a fall and sustaining bruises. We did not inform the hotel of this after being treated like a criminal and getting harrassed about my medication! Floors were dusty, feet got covered in dust after having a bath. Staff telling me that my medication is illegal and i am not allowed to adminiater it on thier premises and they have a no illegal drugs policy. My medication is not illegal, it is prescribed by a doctor and the police even told them that! I got dirty looks from staff and felt really uncomfortable and unwelcome the entire weekend
