Ottawa Embassy Hotel & Suites

Great place to stay - staff are friendly. Front desk personnel are very nice and attentive when I need something. Parking is limited but there is available parking in the area. Closed to Elgin street where there are dining options. Close to attractions that are walkable. We stayed in a junior suite - three people and a pug - very comfortable and spacious. Thank you, we enjoyed our stay at the hotel!

Convenient for families, spacious. Great location. Cleaning could have been better, but okay.

Property was not in good condition. Hot water did not reach the 7th floor. There was a weird smell in both rooms that I had booked. Information about the property was misleading regarding breakfast and parking. When asked about the breakfast, which was listed as available, I was informed that it is not included. The front desk staff advised me that they will ask the manager about providing breakfast to us. He got back to me and advised me that as per the manager the adjoining restaurant was booked for a private event. The next day I found out that it was a blatant lie and there was no such booking at that restaurant. Upon being advised of the hot water situation, the front desk staff told me that the hot water takes a few minutes to get to the 7th floor. But even after running the shower for 10 minutes there was no hot water and I had to take a shower with cold water. I spoke to the manager about these situations and she had nothing to say and there was not even an attempt to make anything better. She was quit nonchalant and her answer was ok. It was a terrible stay and very embarrassing for me in front of my family who were visiting from out of town. Overall a terrible terrible experience. Would not ever recommend this to anyone.

Stay with family and friends, very clean and quiet place!

This property has a full kitchen in the unit. We we were able to heat up some food and avoid going out with the kids. The city hall is very close and we opted to park there, since it is very cheap. There are a lot of nice restaurants in the area and close to the theater.

When are arrived the staff informed me that they upgraded our room to one with a kitchen. Room was modern and clean. Upgrade made a huge difference since we had kids with us. For the price, I was very impressed. Walkable to Parliament Hill and Biward Market

Love this Hotel. Well located in downtown Ottawa but in a quiet street. Very practicle parking lot on site. Love the kitchen in our room. Very useful when travelling with kids. It's not a luxury hotel but it has everything you nees. It was our second stay and we will probably go again.

Our family enjoyed our stay at the Embassy Suites as it was clean, comfortable, and close to downtown Ottawa. The kitchenette was handy, and the beds were comfortable.

My family and i stayed for two nights. Upon arrival, we were notified that the hotel parking was full. This was a bit frustrating and inconvenient but the front desk staff handed us a print out with directions of the two closest lots, this was much appreciated. The building is older and perhaps not the prettiest but it is in a safe and quiet area while still being within walking distance from downtown points of interest. Lobby is small but has a nice seating area and a very cool touch screen where you can look up things to do. Our room was clean and spacious, the only down side was that it had no balcony or view but this was an acceptable sacrifice for a bigger room with a kitchenette, a private bedroom and a spacious living room with a sofa bed. During our stay, we need some extra items that were promptly delivered. There's a restaurant on site called Coopers and this place has got to be a hidden gem. We found the food here delicious and found ourselves eating here more often than anticipated, not because it was in the hotel but because the quality of the food and service was truly outstanding. 10/10 stay.

This property does not look like your photos. The rooms have just been painted over decreped peeling walls. Doors look like they have been smashed open. The heater makes this noise every hour that you couldn't sleep. The hotel rooms never warmed up, it is like the heat was off. The outside of the hotel looks like we were staying at a hostel never mind the drunks and drug addictsa around there. I came with family to see a hockey game and relax..i left more tired and exhausted. My husband and I did not sleep from all the noise that heater made. Don't deceive people with photos from other hotels
