The Westin Ottawa

Wonderful hotel and amazing staff. Downside is parking. Not much parking closed to entrance underground had to walk a while with luggage and kids. No in and out privileges. Checked in brought kids and luggage to my room went down to grab rest of things and i had already gotten a ticket. You pretty much have to pay as soon as you get there but with people with lots of lugging and kids its impossible. I was given an extremely unfair amount of time to pay for my parking. They need a better parking system.for guests

Great place for family with a dog . Just tell them you are coming with a dog and they will prepare your furry friend the bed and bowls. The view from the room was amazing as well - other hotels just put you in the worse room if you are travelling with a dog.

Valet service is great , staff is pretty awesome. I’ve noticed a different in clientele which is more children which causes too much noise and to my surprise I’ve been hearing dogs which ruins a peaceful night.

My family loved the hotel. We had a wonderful breakfast in Daly's Christmas morning. The room is huge! Which made it easy for us to spread Christmas presents under our tiny fake tree.

A lovely, family friendly hotel, very conveniently located next to Rideau Centre with ample parking. Parliament Hill, Byward Market, Rideau Canal all within 5 minute walk of hotel. The property itself is lovely. Rooms are clean and quiet. Awesome salt water pool and gym. Daly's is a wonderful spot for breakfast. Food is amazing and the staff are lovely. The food is pricey (but on par with what you're getting in the byward market). Would absolutely stay here again next time I'm in Ottawa.

My family and I enjoyed a pleasant weekend in Ottawa at the Westin. At check-in I was a little perturbed to see a number of prom couples also checking in and wondered if we were in for a noisy night. The front desk staff assured us that they would be keeping a close eye on any after parties and presented us with a voucher for breakfast. It was a nice touch.

We booked 4 rooms for 7 adults (including 2 pregnant) and two children (both 2 year olds). We had 3 vehicles and opted for valet parking which was extremely convenient for our group. Check-in experience was exceptional. We were able to get all 4 rooms on the same floor and close to one another. The Westin upgraded our rooms to Deluxe King with a magnificent view of Parliament Hill. Rooms were very spacious with all the amenities we needed and the beds were gloriously comfortable including the cribs for the 2 babies. We also chose the Westin (we are repeat customers) because it is connected to the Rideau Centre enabling us to easily go to Farm Boy, LCBO, Starbucks, etc. Our valets were great...personable, professional, efficient. Our server at breakfast was simply the best. There were a couple of minor mistakes the Westin made which were completely avoidable and can be easily resolved for future visits: 1) We ordered breakfast room service - an order of toast - we received 1 piece of toast - not the standard 2 which we thought was highly unusual; 2) Three out of 4 of our rooms were not cleaned after our first night's stay. We only received fresh towels. At check-in we opted for the full service (not the green option) and when the maid was in our room to provide towels we asked her to clean all 4 of our rooms, make our beds, etc. She just looked at me and vanished down the hallway with her cart never to be seen again. All in all, we had a great visit and will likely do it again

Lovely hotel and the perfect location. Our fifth family trip to Ottawa, and we usually start at other hotels 10 mins walk to Parliament. But we decided to stay at the Western because of the location. Everything was within walking distance, and the hotel was also connected to the mall. The rooms were clean and very spacious. We booked a two double bed suite for a family of 4 with two teens. The service was excellent; from the bellman to the front Reception, everyone was accommodating and polite. I would highly recommend this hotel.
