Best Western Plus Cambridge Hotel

I had a reservation booked through Expedia. When I arrived after midnight with my children after hours of driving, I was told there were no rooms and they didn’t know I was coming. Very frustrating. They did refund the room 5 to 7 days later, but that didn’t make up for the inconvenience of having to find a hotel at 1 o’clock in the morning with my children.

Room was lovely. My grandkids loved the pool. We spent hours there. Beds and pillows were really comfy too!

This is an old hotel that has kind staff. The lobby area has been made nice. It is located right off the highway in a high car traffic area, right by the mall and many big box stores. It is not really a pedestrian area. Some of the tilework in the washroom was chipped and browning. Free parking. The sheets were cotton but the bedspread was polyester. We had a first floor room, which had an additional door to the parking lot, like a motel. Which was convenient but it also meant that we could hear car noise and car doors closing late at night. Also being on the first floor we could hear chatter in the lobby. I'd recommend asking for a higher floor if you want quiet. The pool and whirlpool were in good shape and get lots of light. It's a bigger pool than most. There are single stall washrooms in the pool, no change rooms. Towels provided. The free breakfast was satisfactory. Real drip coffee, a latte machine, some warm food: wrinkly sausages, box egg scramble, hashbrown circles - which would have been better earlier in the morning. Cereal, toast, muffins, waffles that could be reheated in the toaster, little yogurts, juice. Yeah pretty wide selection for included breakfast. It's just a 15 minute drive on the highway to Kitchener so we stayed here. It was a good choice for taking children to swim.

Room was old and not the best state. Found garbage in the room plus several stains of unknown origin. A kid threw up in the pool (I was there) and they didn’t immediately close it. Not sure someone even cared. My room was under someone else’s name. They didn’t clean the room. Incredibly noisy. For the outrageous amount of 500 for 2 nights in a suburb

I had a family emergency and had to cancel my reservation and Juana the manager had no care to my fiance being sick. He still charged me for the stay, even though I didn’t check in. He is a cold hearted snake. I will never stay at this place and will tell everyone that they only care about money and not their customers. Juanna needs to get the hell out of hotel management.

Great for kids

It was good!! Ive stayed here since I was younger with my family, so the fact I got to bring my own little family here was just great! The bathroom fan was annoying when it was off. Kept making a weird thumping noise. Other than that, breakfast was great, pool was great, and the hotel was easy to get to.

Average hotel; this trip was full of a hockey families with kids running around unsupervised until after midnight. Super loud, staff didn’t seem to care.

Stayed for 5 nights here with my two kids. Staff were great. Hotel was very clean. Pool area was very clean as well. Breakfast included was scrambled eggs and/or sausage and bacon pending on the day. Lots of bread options. Cereal, fruit, drinks etc No complaints. Lots of shopping and dining close by.

Great stay for family wedding. Check in was friendly and efficient. Curtis was great to deal with. Room was clean and spacious. Close to restaurants and shopping. Convenient parking. Kids loved the pool.
