Hampton Inn & Suites by Hilton - Guelph

The hotel was clean and quiet. Staff was kind even with our kids team. The only downfall was the digital key wouldn’t open all the doors, or the door to the gym, so I still had to carry a regular key. The AC in our room didn’t work either - we had a suite, it worked in the living room but the bedroom only the fan was functioning, no cooling.

It was good my family goes back every friday for hockey saturday they know us by name make u feel good i also for married there almost 2 yrs ago

I booked a hotel room last minute for a quick getaway. I had to cancel within an hour of booking due to a family health emergency. I did not (but definitely should have) purchase the cancellation fee. I tried to work with the hotel to get some remedy of a refund but was unsuccessful. I was out over $300 with no resolution. I understand it was my fault for not purchasing the cancellation fee but i hoped due to the length of time between booking and cancelling, there might have been some wiggle room in policy. Apparently not. Will not book here again.

We stayed for two nights while visiting family on the holiday weekend. Beds were comfy and the room was clean. We had an issue with the remote for the television but someone came up right away to sort it out. Shower head in the bathroom was not working properly but was repaired while we were out. This hotel is not near downtown and there aren’t a lot of restaurants etc but was it suitable for us as we were spending time with family for meals and entertainment. Overall a good experience.

Stayed one night, kids loved the pool and we had a great time. Close to everything we had planned to do. Great time!

We were there for 1 night to attend a family event the next day. Good value, pool was good for our little one. Weight room could be a little better. Breakfast was good. Staff were very helpful and worked to meet our needs from a bottle of water to printing a document to assisting with bringing up breakfast up to our room for our sick daughter. Would stay here again easily.

Excellent place for a family reunion. Staff accommodating about rooms and had accessibility features.

A hockey team was staying at the hotel the night we stayed and we were up all night because kids were yelling, running in the hallways and pranking rooms by banging on the doors. We went down to the front desk to ask the staff to put a stop to it, but they couldn't find the parents from the team. There were a dozen unsupervised kids in the room next to us. We were kept up all night right with banging on our door until 5am. The staff did nothing to control the situation. It was by far the worst hotel stay we have ever had.

I had to be in Guelph for 4 days and since all other hotels were booked, my options were quite limited for a hotel near the centre. Because of the long weekend and university students moving in, the rooms were scarce and the price really high. Large groups of people were staying at that location with kids running in the hallway and screaming until late night. Then a large group of adults had a bbq near the pool until early morning, talking and laughing with loudly. Being on the fourth floor was a good thing as the noise was somewhat suppressed by the distance. Anyway, all that to say that for business purpose, when you have to get up in the morning to get things done, this hotel was definitely a good spot. My bad, I should have reserved much earlier a better place and probably at a better rate. Lesson learned.
