Castle Mountain Pine Chalet is a dream come true for out of town travellers. Our family of four stayed in this chalet for two nights and felt comfortable in the King bed and large pull out couch. The pine interior/exterior and the incredible setting felt like something out of a movie. We enjoyed the entire premises, including the general store (kids loved the unique treats), Osprey Lodge (with ping pong, foosball and laundry facilities that we used) and the gorgeous view of Castle Mountain. As cottagers, we were okay with no air conditioning and the rustic feel. The bathroom, beds and kitchen were incredibly clean and felt well rested as we explored Banff and Lake Louise. We hope to come back!

We loved staying here! It felt very removed from the crowds in Banff and Lake Louise, but was in a location that made it easy to get to those places! We loved having a full kitchen to cook breakfast and dinner for our families. The views of Castle Mountain from the cabins were amazing, especially seeing the sunrises!

Good location between Banff and Lake Louise on 1A.
We stayed in one bedroom suite in the main lodge.
Good: suite is nice and very spacious, kitchen has everything one needs, well stocked. Very quick response from the staff once you have a problem. Excellent customer service.
Not so good: The biggest disappointment for us was that our fireplace did not work. They were waiting for the part to fix it and part did not come while we were there. But there was nobody to blame, sometimes stuff happens. You can hear sounds from people/kids playing on the main floor but it was not a big deal because they would not stay long anyway. Chalet would give you more privacy though. From time to time you can hear a train passing by and it's loud. But for us it was not a big deal and it did not bother us at all.
Summary: Nice resort and very conveniently located, I would definitely stay in this resort again and would recommend it to people.

Castle Mountain Chalets were the perfect place to have a holiday getaway with my family. These charming cabins, nestled at the base of the majestic Castle Mountain, provided a cozy home-base for winter adventures. Whether you wanted to explore the various snow trails, tackle the downhill slopes or wander around Banff or Lake Louise, these Chalets provided the perfect jumping off point. After your day, you don’t need to go any further than your own cabin’s living room to curl up in front of a fire, have a meal with friends or play games. Or if you still want to enjoy the crisp mountain air, there’s alway the outdoor fire pit where you can sit around a roaring bonfire. The only challenge is the Wi-Fi which is quite slow in the individual chalets but is better if you go to the lodge. I would highly recommend Castle Mountain Chalets to anyone who is looking for an authentic mountain experience in our beautiful Alberta Rockies!

Highly recommended! I wouldn’t expect the little chalet is so warm and cozy! It’s new and clean, with a kitchen inside, everything seems excellent to me and my family!

My kids and I loved our stay here in the very cozy, clean, comfortable, one bedroom suite above the main lodge while we skied at Lake Louise for the weekend. Plenty of room for us and the full kitchen was great for cooking our own meals. The jacuzzi tub was a real hit too! The Rocky Mountain Soap products are awesome and a just a great little touch to make your stay that much more enjoyable. We'll definitely be back!

Stayed two nights-
Right beside the railway track - if that bothers you, don’t stay. I have a two year old and he loves train so it was fun, but later in the night the the train horn did wake up the kids.
No paper towels or toiletries refilled
Overalll liked the stay and might stay again depending on the price I get.
