Amazing stay. Thanks for the upgraded room to the loft units. Was a gem for our kids to spread out and enjoy their day/night.

Very disappointed with this place, had really high hopes for it given the ratings and the photos we saw when we booked it but a serious letdown. Noisy at night, staff not willing to do anything about it and a broken parkade door topped it all off.. they even had the nerve to charge $5 for parking under their hotel without any proper security. Doesn’t make any sense. I love the mountains and I love this town but I’m very upset with our stay and the staff’s unwillingness to help or compensate. We were told to “just use ear plugs for the noise”.. not the solution and not the point. Plus, we were travelling with an infant, can’t necessarily wear ear plugs. The room was incredibly cold at night too, the thermostat wasn’t operating properly and when calling down to front desk since you were woken up at 3:15am to consistent banging, ticking & crashing noises coming from the hallway, there was no answer. Will absolutely not be returning here, super disappointed with this “newly renovated and chic hotel off the strip” that I really didn’t think would turn out this way. Was greeted at check-in by a condescending French gentleman at the front desk and didn’t seem to care about the concerns. The only positive is that management (when complained to) offered to waive the $5 parking fee; which, did not happen. So thank you for blowing smoke guys. Honestly, we should have been refunded for the entire night’s stay. Please stay away from this hotel if you’re looking to have a great time.

Great place to stay. Some feedback would be to add a kitchenette in some of the the loft rooms. The tiny fridge was barely cold, and for longer stays was not very useful. The area with the round table and chairs would be more useful if transformed to a small kitchenette with a larger fridge. Another drawer in the upstairs area would be nice because we were 4 people living out of our luggages, while our 5th person used the one drawer on the main floor. Lastly a nightlight would be helpful somewhere as it was hard to walk down to the bathroom in the night. Other than that, the staff were all very helpful and courteous. We even borrowed some crampons for our hike which was an added bonus because we forgot ours at home and to purchase in Banff was $60! My kids really enjoyed the games in the common areas that were beautifully decorated. Overall a great stay!

It’s so convenient. Rooms are clean. also our checked in time was around 4pm and we came early like around 9am. Because we have a bus to catch up around 12pm going to lake louise and since we have a baby they accomodate us and we checked in around 11pm. Shout out to that filipina woman who helped us. Thank you 🙂

The hotel is very nice. The rooms are clean and updated. The walls are a bit thin (could hear kids next door running up and down the stairs) otherwise was great.

The Elk Hotel is just downtown Banff very close to everything they have a good parking area. we went for our kids spring break. room very very spacious. good for family. we had the 3rd f floor with the view of the mountains. they have the restaurant at the lobby and restaurant near by. the pool was under renovations during our stay but the hotel is giving the guest the ticket for hot spring on the top mountain for free.
