My family and I had an amazing time in Fairmont Banff Spring, we can highly recommend this place to our family and friends. The lounge in the fairmont Gold is amazing.

If you like colossal buildings filled with thousands of people milling about with chaotic energy and loud voices, loud music being pumped in, overcrowded restaurants louder than nightclubs, and pools filled with screaming children... then this is your place. This was my first time staying at a super high-end hotel, and I cut my stay short. I was so hoping for quiet, sophisticated luxury with rooms with historical character that reflect the area, serene saltwater hot tubs and pools with aromatherapy and tranquil setting, comfortable, approachable dining areas and food that accommodates a variety of palates. I was unable to use any of the amenities as the decibel level was extreme and everywhere was over-run by people who don't have inside voices. I went back to the Moose Hotel and Suites, where I found the soft, relaxing atmosphere I was looking for. Fairmont has a lot to learn about luxury culture and creating a welcoming place for everyone and not just rampaging, selfish, discourteous tourists.

The wife and I visited Banff and decided to stay here for our Anniversary/baby moon. The hotel was amazing and full of history. What really stood out however was our concierge, Sarah!! She was amazing and super helpful with planning out our itinerary for our stay. Furthermore, on our last day to our surprise she remembered that my wife had been craving salty and had some salty snacks waiting for us in our room! It’s these type of employees that not only make guests trips memorable but also showcase what a brand stands for! Thank you Sarah!

The castle was fun to stay in but for the price I would choose to stay elsewhere with my children in the future. Rooms are tiny (expected for a historic hotel). We enjoyed the 5-pin bowling and game room as well as outdoor pool and hot tub.

The service was impeccable and the staff were extremely helpful. There were excellent amenities. My daughter and I attended a free yoga class which provided free mats which we cleaned ourselves after using. The room I purchased for my children was located in the Gatehouse and was old with the ceiling very low. I was charged over $ 1100 (CAN) per day. The bathroom was old and dated. The room was clean so I am not complaining about cleanliness. For such a cost, I had expected something better for my children. My room was only $ 759 per night and located in the main building. This room had been fully renovated with a new bathroom. There were lots of places to explore and see in this hotel. There are lots of interesting historical features in the hotel which you can freely Food was extremely expensive in the hotel restaurants, but there is a small grocery store on site which we were not aware of until the last day of our stay. The town of Banff is within walking distance and there were trails close by. We were given complimentary bus passes for the local transit service. I would recommend visiting this hotel, but I will not be staying here again because the cost is too expensive for what we received.

Best location and food. Of course their unbelievable swimming pool. All our families enjoy our four nights stay, even our three rooms located on 2nd floor. Best service and great staffs. I called them all the time and help me a lot. Small but comfort room. Love all the showers products. The rose smell make me happy for whole day. In Banff in fairmont , deserve you and your family for a best vacation after this pandemic. Don’t forget horseback riding. All my kids and me are enjoying it.

The staff were all amazing. The pool was great. Some of the rooms need a little updating. Although, our room was not ready at check in time, housekeeping made it up to us my sending wine for my husband and myself, as well as cookies and milks for my kids. Overall, a good expedience.
