Hotel Max was not the best fit for my group. Friendly staff. Beer in the lobby from 5 to 6 and coffee in the lobby every morning. Fantastic location. close to Pike Place. Plenty of great places to Eat and hang out. The monorail to Seattle center is a short walk away. Overall fun vibe with a really cool lobby, full of cozy places to sit. On the flipside, there is a smell throughout the property. Sort of an incense/patchouly smell. No I did not speak to the front desk about this because it’s just the way the place smells. I recognize that this might not be an issue for those who like that smell, but this is one of the reasons it was not a great fit for us. We paid for The largest room available with two queens. As we were two adults with two young adult children, I wanted the extra space. The bathroom was still indescribably tiny. By far the smallest I’ve seen in any country. A thin glass shelf runs above the sink and toilet with no other surfaces for bathroom items. We do not spend a lot of time in the bathroom but the size still made it inconvenient and uncomfortable. I am guessing that because we got the bigger room, we had a long desk with desk chair. But no other seating. So even with extra space, there was nowhere to sit and visit or eat. For the price, factors like very basic bedding, tiny elevators, and thin, torn carpet are understandable. But the smell, bathroom size, and lack of seating in the larger room made this a spot that my group will not choose again.

I stayed at this hotel with my three kids and had a pleasant experience. The atmosphere was quiet, which was perfect for our family getaway. The highlight for my kids was definitely the bunk beds, which they absolutely loved. The room was comfortable and provided enough space for all of us. The staff was friendly and accommodating, making our stay even more enjoyable. Overall, it was a great choice for a family trip.

Was in a good location for what we came for. Liked the vibe.Liked the eco friendliness even if it was annoying for me.
Didn’t like that the room had no coffee machine or microwave. Definitely an adult hotel, not that they can’t accommodate children it just the rooms are too small fora family of 4.

Not ideal for family. Room too small, but clean though. The major issue is the bath tub is too slow to drain water, so your feet gets soaked in dirty water. Parking is too steep, had to pay $62 including tax for one night. The location is good, walking distance. to Pike’s market.

We got the family of 5 room and the kids really liked it- 3 separate bunks for the kids plus a separate sitting area. Good experience, would go back again if we return.

Central and good location. Clean hotel, creative rooms with the bunkbeds. Worked nicely for a family of five. Missed that they did not serve breakfast.

The hotel has a weird vibe that we did not enjoy. King rooms are basic and unattractive. Bathroom had a strange “step up” from the room, which would be a tripping hazard for children or anyone inebriated. Bathroom ceiling was low, to the point where I’m surprised it was up to code. Our bathroom sink and tub were both very clogged upon our arrival, something the cleaning staff should have easily been able to identify and flag to the repair people to fix, if they had cleaned the room prior to our arrival. Maybe they didn’t use running water to clean?? Staff in lobby ranged from not very friendly, to actively ignoring us. Only one person we came across seemed normal and friendly – a brunette lady, who was nice and helpful. Coffee in lobby provided, which is great, but if you take your coffee with something besides Coffeemate, then you have to walk a few blocks to get your coffee at a real coffee shop. For what we paid, we were disappointed.

This time I was traveling alone. Hotel staff was all great, location and price was OK but the wall apparently was very thin and I was exposed to various noises. Nice place for a single traveler but I would not stay with my family.

I booked this hotel for my teenage children and they said it was safe and easy and a super cool place to stay.
