Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites Terrell, an IHG Hotel

When i called the hotel after booking online i was told the pool was not available nor the hot tub. I was going to cancel but the clerk told me it was non refundable so we decided to keep the reservation. We checked in abround 4 and when we entered the building we could smell roach pesticide . Carpets vacumned but filthy thru out . Our room was double booked at midnite a lady with 6 kids tried to come in our room with the key the front desk assigned them. They were very upset about us bein g in the room . And went downstairs. I called the front desk because strangers just opened our door and we were in bed.! All she said was oh im so sorry. Im pretty upset about that. Our room was not very clean and smelled of stale roaches it was verynoisy our door made noises everytime another door opened. We left early and did not get the buffett breakfast. Which is really just a snack bar. The elevator is scary also. No amneties available and i was charged 168 pluz when i checked in theychaRged me 20 more. This was so unaccetable in every way i would like to be compensated for my terrible experience . The pictures online are not what is real. No hard wifi , tv remote didnt work ,only sheets on the bed no blankets, jacuzzi jets very disapointing. Having people enter your room at midnite while we were in bed was the worst. They were all peeking in the door at us! The hotel staff offered nothing and seemed pretty smirk management never contacted me to apologize.

I was disappointed. The late night staff person was snappy. There were no bath towels available because the staff did not wash that day ( that is what the front desk person said. We were awakened at 2:00 a.m. saying that smoke was detected in our room. No One in my family smokes!!! They knocked on my door without warning wanting to come in to check the detector the next day . After seeing that there was no indication of smoking , they never returned to put things back together. The only thing that was similar both days is that someone was in the shower. The room was older. It was not a good experience.

Advertised as indoor pool, and the reason 4 rooms were booked as traveling with a bunch of kids. Sign reading “Pool temporarily closed” on front door of motel. Pool not available as covered with wooden deck with columns built on the deck. Obviously hasn’t been open for considerable time, with no plans for opening in foreseeable future. FALSE ADVERTISING. Baited and switched!!
