Holiday Inn Express & Suites Garland E - Lake Hubbard I30, an IHG Hotel

The property is in a great location and from the outside is beautiful. The interior decor is beautiful as well, however, it needs LOTS of TLC. There was dog poop on the floor of the elevator for thrre days! Several electrical issues (lights not working, ceiling fans not working, flashing LED lights, missing light fixtures, etc), the pool was so dirty, just to say a few things. On a plus, the breakfast was worth waking up early for. It was delicious and the ladies were so sweet. Biggest issue is the pictures of the room on this website are all the same, which leads you to not getting the room you thought you were getting. Go look at the different room types and you will notice all the pictures are the same. There is a huge difference in room size. Very disappointed with having a much smaller room than I thought I was getting for my family.

Some how I thought I was booking a room with a sofa, turns out the booking went through as 2 regular queens, causing me to have to purchase a whole other room upon arrival. That sucked. Rooms weren’t bad, a but out dated but ok. Pool was closed. That was unfortunate because I brought my grand baby so she could swim. Overall, great location near the water, not exactly on the water. Although I now had 2 “lake view” rooms but couldn’t see the lake because of a huge tree. You have to be on the top floors to actually enjoy that Im guessing. Plus side, walking distance to some great food and bass pro shop.

Hotel was great. Front desk staff was nice. Breakfast was good. Only issue was that the pool was closed. We booked this hotel because of the pool, to allow our kids to swim after being in the car all day traveling.

Got in and kids were so tired and hungry…got up to room and it was filthy…hair all over shower wall and shower head…ended up leaving and booking elsewhere

The front desk are really nice, and hotel is really clean. My family and I will definitely stay there, again.

They charged me an unjustified charge of $100 cause there was make up on my pillow and sheet. I have NEVER been charged for that even the last time I stayed at this hotel. Staff would not give me a corporate number, i had to research it myself. The housekeeping manager was EXTREMELY RUDE and would not let me talk while explaining myself. The GM was ALWAYS ironically unavailable and the staff did NOT seem to care about my concern and provided horrible customer service. I will not be staying here again and will advise my family and friends to do the same.

Great service during my 2-day. All staff members were polite and inviting. Breakfast was good and beds were comfortable. Rooms were spacious and fit my family needs. Looking forward to the next stay!

Close to family

Had hot water this time. Always a plus! We come here because I trust the brand and it’s close to family in Rowlett. Our stays have been inconsistent in overall quality, but the location is great.

I love the hotel. The staff was amazing. However, when I got back to my room, the rain outside was raining into my window. Water was pouring in from the top left and all down the left side of the window as I looked outside. Water was running into the AC unit under the window. I called down and was able to get more towels from the front desk clerk so I could clean up the water mess. My family works in construction so I notice more than some people might. There was paint leaking and mold growing under and around the paint I. The top and on the left side. There was also black mold showing through the caulking on the bathtub. Abate the black mold, seal windows with appropriate caulking or Flexseal clear, repaint inside around window and abate the black mold in the bathtub. Those are easy enough to repair. However I do realize that my room isn’t the only room that needs repair. It is costly. Without repairs being made, the dripping/pouring water could have shorted out the A/C heater unit. If I lived closer, I would come and repair Room 206 where I stayed. One desk clerk and lobby full of people. She did a great job, on March 16th and tried to be efficient and quick with everyone. She apologized for the leaks in my room and gave me the two towels. I assured her that I could clean up the water mess by myself since she was swamped.
