Perfect for a family getaway

Nice stay for a large family. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast was okay; mainly dry goods. Only two towels were provided at first, but we have several kids. Staff was friendly and willing to hand out extras as needed.

I needed a crib for my baby and they couldn’t provide one. They had the crib (base was cracked) and a mattress, but they didn’t go together. I had to make a bed on the floor for my baby to sleep on so they wouldn’t fall off the bed in the night.

Unfortunately this hotel is an example of extreme cost cutting. Housekeeping was only on Thursdays and Mondays (not advertised). One of the cleaning staff let me know that it is a Choice Hotel standard to only supply rooms with 2 towels. With the limited standards and the minimal cleaning guests are constantly making lists and running down to the main desk to get support from what appears to be the only person working. The service was varied. One person, who was on a couple of days is likely a nice person but should not be serving the public. He used minimal words to communicate, if at all, and seemed very unhappy to be there. When a corporation cuts cost the staff suffer as they have to keep so many plates spinning. As such the guests suffer as they are served by these people. Its hard to travel with a family and keep your room clean without a broom or vacuum.

Overall, the best place we stayed at during our 10-day trip. I'm going to seem picky because we had so many places to compare it to. The check-in went smooth. They already had 3 keycards instead of 2, paying attention to that annoying question of how many adults and children. We had 3 adults and 3 children. However, they only had 3 bath towels in the room and there were 6 of us. The room and pool areas were clean. They were out of pool towels, so we had to go get some from the front desk, which isn’t horrible, but keeps them from being excellent. They only provide conditioning shampoo, not shampoo and conditioner. Again, just little things keeping them from being excellent.

The room was nice and clean. The couch was very uncomfortable, only the kids used it, and very little dishes or utensils.

We came as a family for a lacrosse tournament. It was only five minutes from the soccer field where they played lacrosse. It was very convenient. The kids played in the pool. There wasn’t much for breakfast. They said they don’t serve hot breakfast in the summer.

Very disappointing to pay for a room on a family outing and then have the aroma of smoke within the facility as well as the room when we have a non-smoking room. There was the smell of Cannabis throughout the facility when walking in the hallways. Very disappointing especially when kids are staying.

Hotel was overbooked so even though I Booked a King bed, we were given a queen. They did put us in a suite, but it was virtually the same amenities as the room with a King had, so only difference was a door to the bedroom. We stayed 3 nights and breakfast was literally bread and butter with nothing else. I asked about any compensation since there was no breakfast and was told to speak to the manager who was not there. The keurig in our room did not work. We had to go to the front desk to exchange it. There was no room service. I was told that only happens if you stay 5 or 7 nights, the front desk agent wasn’t sure. One of the dining chairs had wax melted to the seat cushion. The sofa was very worn. 2 positives… same young man working at the desk during the day for our entire stay was ver polite and professional and the room itself was equipped with 2 burners, a dishwasher, and a refrigerator, which were all nice and clean. My sister and her family also had a room during the same time and the bathroom mirror had a cigarette left on top of the frame, there was garbage in the room, and it appeared the room hadn’t been cleaned from the last people who stayed in it, which made me wonder if bedding gets changed between guests.
