We called ahead to make them aware that we would be arriving late. When we got there around 1045pm, we were checked in promptly. The lobby had a smell. We selected a room with a fold out sofa for our kids. During check in, they gave us blood stained sheets. Our room was very dirty. The carpet have MANY huge dark stains. The shower was dirty and had hair in it. It was very outdated. Trash under mattress and on the floor. We called hotels.com and was told to try to resolve directly with the hotel staff. They had nothing to offer and would not refund us our money. We were literally there for minutes!

It was overall an ok stay. The room was a wondeful size for our mobility needs. There were no towels for the pool so we had to go back to our room to get the room towels. You do have to ask to be let in since room keys don't work to get you in. The pool is small so if more than one family is in it it would feel very crowded.
Overall this is an ok spot for a night or two.

6/1/2024-Ever since Covid, when it comes to staying at a hotel, we just cross our fingers and hope for the best. The Comfort Inn and Suites on Banksville Road exceeded our expectations. Upon check-in, the lady at the front desk, pleasant and helpful. Our room on the 4th floor, clean and crisp. Bathroom-excellent. Bedding, sheets, mattresses, clean and comfortable. Wi-Fi connected immediately. TV channel selections good for families and all ages. No noise. Shower and water pressure perfect. Overall-wonderful stay and I would return ✅

My only disappointment was that our neighbors were up all night and a bit loud. I didn't complain because I think they had a special needs child that was causing all the noise and running. I didn't sleep at all but such is life.

The hotel, in general, was great with spacious rooms, comfortable beds and a good breakfast with hot as well as continental foods. There could be a little less use of Styrofoam and plastic in the breakfast room.
The pool was being enjoyed by a lot of children and there was a gym not being used at all!
The hotel is conveniently located to downtown Pittsburgh and some very nice restaurants. I recommend the Grand Concourse restaurant. There is plenty of parking.

Breakfast was plain, coffee very plain as if diluted with more water than it should be, breakfast hours from 6-9 was inconvenient as we were with kids and ended up not making for the breakfast on time

Of all the budget conscious hotels that I’ve stayed in, this might be my favorite. Friendly staff, property was in very good condition. Breakfast options were plentiful. Great value for the price.
We ordered in food and invited family and stayed in the lobby area for 6 hours, playing cards and visiting. There was no pressure to limit our time.

Staff were friendly. Room was clean. Elevator creaked and the fitness equipment was difficult to function- maybe faulty or childproofed to the point I couldn’t figure it out.
