Portland Marriott Downtown Waterfront

Initially the place smells nice. The staff are very supportive and have a good attitude when dealing with concerns I had. The lobby was alive and I really enjoy hotels that aren't dead and feel empty. The hotel is in downtown which means you're near most of the places of interests (cafes, restaurants, etc). The river is in front and the walk is truly nice if you need a quick place to exercise or talk while walking). Downtown has a level of risk you take when walking around especially at night. (most cities do) In terms of safety in the building, I felt safe and relaxed. The elevator requires a room key to get around so that adds an extra measure of security. My room smelt good and contained everything I needed. The view was nice but the only issue I had was that a portion of my rooms carpets smelt awful. I noticed this when kneeling near my floor to pick a few things up. Regardless, I had a great opportunity with the $25 credit they give you to spend in the restaurant or café. I think this is a great place to come back to if I'm ever in Portland, they treated me like family.

I truly enjoyed my stay clean, quiet and friendly hospitality executives. Definitely coming back Only one con the baby balcony super small if u have big feet dont even try it lol

Check-in process went smoothly. The room was clean and it was a convenient location for me to visit family who live in the area.

Our family really enjoyed our stay here. Quick check in /out service. Very clean. Staff were very friendly and great offering suggestions of places to eat tin the city. Valet parking was very convenient and staff were speedy and Efficient. Definitely stay again.

The japanese style bedroom was cute. But otherwise not enough value for the money. Who charges $15/day for internet these days!? $49 for valet parking. But the valet service was excellent to be fair to the kids. I am just complaining about the rate.

The staff was extremely friendly and check in and check out were astoundingly speedy. We were given advance notice about the St. Patrick's day run just outside our door, which we appreciated as that helped us think about our plans for Sun morning. Calla, the staff person who checked us in, later sent a bottle of champagne to our room as we had told her during check in that we were celebrating our two year anniversary. That has never happened for either of us before when we've stayed at a hotel and we were very moved by it. THANK YOU!! We will definitely stay at this Marriott again in the future as it was very convenient and we had such a marvelous experience. We also will tell all of our friends and family.
