This was an amazing hotel with lovely staff. The Tavern attached to the hotel was fantastic. While we felt comfortable walking to the art museum nearby, our attempts to venture a few blocks away became sketchy really quickly. While there are great spots within walkable distances nearby, I would rate the walkability of this area pretty low, since I was traveling with younger children. But, the hotel itself is absolutely lovely and we’ll stay here every time we’re in Portland!

We booked a king suite with a couch pullout for the kids.it was disgusting. Covered in stains and no padding, just metal springs. We ended up having to purchase the room next door so they had a clean bed to sleep in. Also we were told at check in that each night we would get a complementary $5 to purchase items at front desk. We did so and were still charged.

Great staff, very spacious room for 3 guests, and wonderful library to hang out in. Wish the restaurant was up and running, but the staff were so helpful with our family eating ordering pizza there instead! Would definitely stay here again!
