AC Hotel by Marriott Portland Downtown, OR

For our family of 5 we had booked two rooms under the names of myself and my wife. I went to check in at 8PM and was able to checkin for my room but noyt hers (as she was not present). Regardless the manager blocked a room for closeby so we will all be close. After we finished dinner we all arrived at around 11 PM - and the Front Desk staff had changed. There was a very rude senior person - who said expedia has overbooked and they don't have a second room for us . This is disturbing on many levels a) Nobody mentioned any issue when we checked in one of the two rooms and blocked the other room only a couple hours ago 2) If they were overbooked - why did they not try to inform people ahead of time 3) After some frustrating conversation - they rudely said - OK I will let you have the room - and went on to give us the room that was orginially put on hold (if it was available not sure what the fuss was all about)

Highly recommend hotel in Portland! Easy access to everything. Walkable and they even have a shopping mall. Place is clean, elevators are quick, bar/restaurant on the lobby and most of all very quiet at night. Thats a big deal for my family since we a light sleeper. Ohhhh not to mentioned very affordable. This hotel cost half the price from hotel that I booked in Seattle that’s not even close to what AC hotel offers. Like what I said… HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!

Amenities in the room aren’t family friendly— coffee bar needs an upgrade, no bath tub. The ethnic hotel staffs were amazing and helpful, Morning Shift Asian American Female staffer offer hot water for my baby bottle and check on me, she left us with great impression from our last visit we came back and stayed for two more nights, as a gold Marriott member, this is a decent medium hotel where street parking is available.
