Location was great! Hotel is old and there was an awful smell in the lobby and elevators. Couch in the room was small and stained, pull out bed was awful. Room was spacious and plenty of room for our family, needs some updating.

The hotel itself was okay, very average but was sold on luxury. It smelled horrible, like an old grandma or hot garbage every morning. Whoever our neighbors were constantly was having people in and out and standing in the hallways. We had a child with us and there were MANY women dressed risqué every morning in the lobby even though the area is very much so catered towards children. The room was very spacious but very dated. And the elevators are terrifying, very very dated, small and do not work properly at all. The staff seems okay, but like they don’t want to be there.. which i wouldn’t either if i had to sit in that smell all day.

Lots of character. I love a repurposed building. Our room was very large. We’re a family of five and we had plenty of room.

Couldn’t beat the price for the suit, we were able to walk to our event. The breakfast was excellent.
They could definitely hire more, or a better cleaning staff. No smoking sign everywhere but our hallway and our room had a very strong weed smell, was not happy having my 5 small children smell that.

The suite was very large which worked well for a family of five. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Loved the pancake machine at breakfast!

My family and I went to this property while in town for a Cavs game. Having previously stayed there about 5 years ago, we knew that the location was great for walking to the arena and the hotel was pleasant. Sadly, this property has declined considerably since our last visit. The age of the building has become quite obvious. The elevators were dirty and rattling, the rooms felt more like a mediocre Air BNB with peeling paint and cracked bathroom tiles. The overall cleanliness of the common areas was horrendous. The one microwave that is used for ALL guests to share on the Mezzanine level was filthy with caked on food residue, the carpets were full of debris and crumbs and trash bins were overflowing. The exterior of the building was even less appealing as there were vagrants loitering right outside and asking for money each time we left the premises. Thankfully, the breakfast selection and quality were very good. The front desk clerk was pleasant and accommodating, informing us that the regular cleaning crew was short staffed, hence the conditions. Nevertheless, we expected more from such a large reputable chain, particularly in the downtown area. I don't think we would choose this hotel in the future.

I made a reservation for two queen beds and when we arrived there, the staff told us that the only available room had a king bed and a pull out couch bed. The staff changed the reservation however they wanted and didn't even apologize. The staff then basically implied that we could take it or leave it, showing no signs of sympathy. My husband, my two teen kids, and I drove 8 hours for a college visit and hoped to rest, but we were welcomed with the wrong service and hostile staff. When we woke up the next morning, my husband experienced lower back pain from the quality of the couch bed. The springs in the bed were uneven, and because of this, my husband couldn't get any sleep and still has to drive for 8 hours in this condition. We trusted and paid for the service that we wanted in advance, and since this wasn't even provided, we can't trust this company to make the correct reservations in the future. Our family was looking forward to a nice getaway, but we were really disappointed because of the way we were treated. Is it ok for a hotel to treat their customers like this? Depending on the response to my review, I may upload a bad review online.
