Awesome! Free breakfast (eggs, sausage, bagels, waffles, cereal, muffins, yogurt, juice). SUPER clean. Staff was incredibly polite. My daughter was excited to stay up high, the lady checking us in overheard and moved us from the floor 6 to the top 16th floor! The neighborhood is a little sketchy, people hanging out on the streets and by the 24hr store smoking weed at all hours, but we didn’t have any issues with anyone. We had 2 adults and 2 kids (8&9). The metro is just 2 blocks away and about a 20 minute commute into Times Square or Central Park. 10/10 would stay here again.

Unfortunately we had a bad experience from trying to talk to a person on the phone no one answer the phone ... they gave my room I had reserved from weeks before my trip to some one else without even letting me know who takes your reservation and not give you what you asked for... my husband slept on the floor because I had a two bedroom room and they kept it to someone else and I only had one in bed for four people my children, my husband and I. Manager of the hotel was very nice and very friendly. I'll let him know my concerns and I appreciate him explaining stuff to me, but we had a horrible experience.

Let’s get straight to the point here shall we?
1. Not in a great location. Right across the street from the projects and a shelter. That alone is a HUGE no. (I’m a project baby so don’t come for me). But as an investor, location is EVERYTHING.
2. 9:30pm loud Spanish music blasting outside on the street. Innocent people, no fights or nothing, but this is why location is important. (Love my Spanish people, but please have some courtesy for the hotel guests)
3. TV not working
4. Light is broken
5. The wash soap bottle was empty
6. They do not allow Uber eats to come to your room, you must go to the lobby. Inconvenient.
7. The beds are small. So if you got 4 people to one room with two beds, you might want to reconsider and get two rooms
8. The phone to call the front desk is broken. I called from my cell, they’re not answering. Best bet is to go downstairs.
9. Light fell off without touching it
and this all took place within the matter of 2 hours of check in!
Overall, room was very clean. Location no good, unreachable staff, certain things in the room not working. I’d give it a 2.5 and only because of the cleanliness of the room. Everything else is a no for me. If you’re looking for somewhere simple and a place to just sleep, this is your place, but I’m not sure about the night time.

I believe the property was built on the thought that the neighborhood was getting upgraded. Unfortunately, it has not been, and still has a troubled set of streets around it. I had no problem, but I would not use the facilities around the hotel if I had my family with me.

Guests who need parking should consider other options. We arrived at check in later and learned that there were was no parking available. The front desk was unsure of other options in the area so we needed to unload our belongings and start looking around the neighborhood. Hotel is very close to Queensbridge projects housing. Street parking was not available and we starting looking for a parking garage and that was when we realized that this location is not suitable for people with vehicles. The hotel has about 5 spaces in front which they charge $35 but those spaces were already filled when we got there and no one answered the phone when I called to see if the spaces could be reserved in advance. There were several garages that were closed and not even walking distance from the hotel- we ended up finding a garage that was open 10 minutes away for $35 cash. We had to take a LYFT back to the hotel. As we we knew that we had an early appt the next day and had young children, we decided to check out the next day and found a hotel that had better parking options in the area. The hotel itself was fine, but I would recommend they upgrade the platform beds as the mattress was sliding off and we needed to readjust it a few times. The complimentary breakfast was ok and the seating area was very nice.

This was a great property for my partner and I to chill after traveling with the family all summer.
Pros: Clean modern built, close to public transportation, breakfast was convenient, friendly staff, near city and attractions
Cons: No Business Centre, the Gym was a joke, area around property not appealing

The hotel itself is very nice and modern. We had a room with the Manhattan view and it was gorgeous. It’s close to the subway station and two stops from Manhattan. The location and the neighborhood itself is very shady. Did not feel too safe walking around the neighborhood with my kids. The area has low income housing “projects” and felt unsafe. We saw a person pooping between cars at night and couple of people approached us asking for money. NY has a lot of better neighborhoods but I guess you get what you pay for.
