Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott Kansas City Belton

We have stayed at this Fairfield several times while visiting family and we are always satisfied. The rooms are clean and the staff is always very courteous. We have never had the opportunity to try the breakfast or use the pool so I can’t speak on those items. My only complaint is that the mattresses are very uncomfortable and hard. There are less expensive hotels in town that we have tried but I wouldn’t recommend them over the Fairfield.

As a BonVoy member we always seek out Marriott. We have stayed in this particular hotel several times while visiting family, but this particular time the staff were unfriendly, the service particularly poor and the breakfast was one in which we chose not To eat as it looked awful all three days of our stay. They have done better previously and should attempt to do better in the future.

First off this is a great property. Clean, modern and just very nice. However, I did find it to be overpriced but considering the options you have they really have a monopoly on a nice lodging. When I leave a review I base my review on safe location, good AC/Heat, Hot Water, Good Pillow/Bed and Price. The location felt very safe, we had very good AC, lots of hot water, the bed was very soft as well as the pillows and the price was OK. When it comes to the price it is crazy for Belton, Mo but it is a very nice property. Breakfast is somewhat standard but they do have some twist that will add some variety that those road warriors will greatly appreciate. As for a fitness center this is one of the nicer ones. Free weights, treadmills, elliptical and space for a yoga mat. Since I have listed lots of good things I am going to list some things that I didn't care for. Our room was on the NE corner of the 2nd floor. All night I heard what sounded like a semi truck moving across a parking lot then slowing down then speeding back up. The only thing I can see is the electrical boxes so I am not sure exactly what it was. Also, the TV controller was a pain for doing anything, you really had to be straight in front of the TV and still then it was difficult. The refrigerator in the room was half a mini so left overs or travelling with a family that has lots of food and snacks will be limited. Finally, when we arrived we noticed a strong men's after shave.

Loved the cleanliness, the small details that made the place extra comfortable, and yummy breakfast. Best family hotel with a great price!

Our grandchildren and great-grandchildren came up for the county fair. When we met them the next morning they were ecstatic about their stay. Loved the room, the pool, the exercise room. Also the fact they were on the first floor. From now on this is where we will have them stay when they visit.
