Home2 Suites by Hilton Overland Park

Came for my son’s socccer tournament and it was amazing! I usually pick Home 2’s and this one did not disappoint! Great neighborhood with walking distance to shopping and stores. Hotel was clean and staff was very friendly! My kiddos loved the free breakfast and the pool

The staff was very nice and the room was nice too. I liked that there were pumps in the shower already for shampoo, conditioner and body wash. I liked the grab and go breakfast, that was well liked by the whole family. We also liked that the elevators were so quiet and didn't have the hard stops like other elevators. I did not like that there was cold water all day on Monday, that the power was out half the day on Tuesday, and the fire alarm on Tuesday night scared my daughter to where she ended up calling me while i was working. Our kids got sick on vacation and my husband thinks it might be from our daughter touching the bathroom door and sucking her thumb but we don't know for sure so we can't exactly blame that on the hotel.

Check in is 3pm and my room was not ready. The staff complained about the cleaning staff to each other while I waited. The dishes in the dishwasher were dirty and when my daughter pulled out the sofa bed to sleep, it had food in the sheets. One night I woke up and a bug was crawling on me. The breakfast sandwiches were cold at breakfast and were not edible. My kids went swimming and there were no towels. When I went to get some at the desk so we could go to our room, the staff at desk said they were in the drier so I would have to wait 30 minutes. I wouldn’t recommend this property.

Pool was closed, carpet was really sticky, bathroom door literally fell off the hinges with the first use, ceiling tiles in the hallways were falling down and the breakfast was kind of lacking. They blamed it on chiefs fans…. Wouldn’t stay here again. Way too expensive for what you get. Very sad kids about the pool that was promised.

Looked like a nice property overall but was really lacking on cleaning. There were several young soccer teams staying that weekend and kids were running up and down the halls. Could be a really nice place if it was taken care of.

Loved how close it was to all the best shopping and entertainment for our family.

The property location was in a good area. Close to food and shopping. The hotel had no record of us paying for the room through Expedia, so after traveling all day, I had to miss dinner with my family in order to spend time between Expedia and the hotel fixing their mistake, otherwise they were going to charge me again for the hotel stay. Also, even though there were 12 outlets, we could only charge one device at a time otherwise the circuit breaker would shut off all the power to the room. VERY inconvenient, especially for a family of four. As a result, at least two of us always had a dead phone. The front counter’s solution was to, “only use one outlet at a time.”

This was a great option for our family for a quick one night stay while in the area. Check in was easy and service was great. Check out was at 11 and housekeeping asked us to leave our room at 10:20am but that was our only hiccup during the stay. We would stay here again.

The employee with the blue hair was incredibly friendly. Had breakfast for us and kept Everything full with lots of soccer families coming through. The employee that worked Saturday night seemed over the job and came off very rude. The walls were incredibly thin and we were woke multiple times the first night by rooms around us. Traveling with my family for a soccer event it was very handy to have such a large fridge and a nice workable counter space for the snacks we brought with.

First the room was not cleaned and ready by the time I arrived and it was hours after check in time began. They made me wait an additional hour to get the sheets put on the beds and they didn’t vacuum the floors. We had pet hair on the floors and crumbs with the previous person’s trash still in the can. My wife actually helped the people clean the room and clean the bathroom to the point where the manager asked her if she would like a job there. The sheets were uncomfortable and icky feeling when you laid down on them. This was supposed to be a family vacation but that just wasn’t the standards that I think a place with the name Hilton should have. It was very underwhelming.
