Holiday Inn Express and Suites Overland Park, an IHG Hotel

We enjoyed our stay here! Safe, clean, lots of options for dining. Was a little noisy as we stayed on the second floor, but other than that, staff nice, room was clean, hot tub was nice, kids loved the pool. Would definitely stay here again!!

Great place to stay. Visit due to family medical event. Room clean and quiet. Nice amenities. Good customer service.

The day of our check in we received a phone call from them telling us that they did not accept Expedia bookings and that we would need to cancel with them and rebook through the hotel at a higher rate. Luckily I told my husband that was inaccurate and not to pay them any extra money and that they did in fact book from Expedia because I had booked them in the last month or two. When we got to the hotel to check in there was nothing mentioned again about not accepting our booking and our room etc was ready. They then tried to charge another family in our group a higher rate as well when they checked in. Basically the owners of these specific hotels in the chain were trying to get out of paying their Expedia fees and then charge extra to their customers. Unacceptable.

The room was very clean,staff was really nice .overall nice place to stay and really close to the highway basically everything was close by. I am glad that we stayed in this hotel my kids enjoyed the pool and hot breakfast .

This place is a joke. We booked a "standard room" for our family thinking that it was a double bed room. Once we arrived we were informed a "standard room" was a king room. Staff would not allow us to change rooms or pay what they called an upgrade (both types of rooms were the exact same price) and they also claimed they had no double rooms available. As they were telling my husband this at the front, I was able to get online and book a double bed room. We ended up having to pay for both rooms so TWICE the price. Both days we stayed, during the daytime hours, staff were folding bath towels on the lobby tables that people eat on for breakfast. Two of the staff members were also giving each other "back rubs" in this same area. Staff would also not allow anyone to sit in the lobby past 10pm. None of staff during our stay spoke English as a primary language & were not only very difficult to understand, but also claimed to not understand requests being made. I will never stay at this hotel again.
