We stayed here for a baseball tournament. It was quiet but not so much that the kids couldn’t have fun. Staff was all great, helpful and kind.

Our stay at Comfort Inn West Duluth was overall pleasant. The room was comfortable (although during our stay, they were experiencing technical problems with the TV connection so viewing was limited). My kids enjoyed the pool area, the breakfast options were tasty and staff was always friendly and helpful! Thanks much!

The desk staff was welcoming and friendly. The room was clean, comfortable. and the pool fun for the kids.
Breakfast was fine but somewhat limited choices...We would prefer more vegetarian options and fresh fruits in addition to apples and bananas.

My flight go in really late and from the airport I had to drive 2 1/2 hours to Duluth. The hotel called me and I called them back because I was on another line and didn’t recognize the number but no one answered. I tried 4 or 5 times and nothing not even an answering machine. When I got there the door was locked and there was a sign to call the front desk. I called twice and finally ended up banging on the door. Shortly afterward a guy came out from the direction of the first floor rooms. I told him about me calling and he said it was weird because he just stepped away and he was at the front desk all night. He the. Told me that the phones might be on silent??? I gave him my name and he told me that he was working on getting my room ready and I said doesn’t housekeeping take care of that before 3:00 check in. He said not to worry it would just take a second. I walked with hi to my room and it was clear that someone had been sleeping in my bed. The pillows were all disshuffled along with the covers on the left side of the bed. I told him that someone had been sleeping there and I would like a new room. He said he could do that but when he went to the computer he said he had two queen rooms for guest that haven’t arrived yet but it was 2:00 am by then. I was so tired I took the room and slept on the other side of the bed. This kid lied to my face because he never looked me in the eye when he was talking to me and his excuses were lame. This morning I shared the story w the mgr.

We enjoyed our stay. The beds were very comfortable. The breakfast was great and my kids enjoyed the pool. We were disappointed that there was no cable, but the ability to use Netflix was great! We would definitely stay in the future if we are in the Duluth area.

A great place to stay. It was VERY CLEAN and well-maintained both in the room and throughout the hotel. It had a 'new' feeling - very bright and clean throughout. And the staff were friendly and helpful and available. I was traveling with small children and they several times promptly responded to special requests. Pool is very good, especially for kids. No restaurant or bar on-site (except some limited weekend bar), and no room service, so it's just the continental breakfast (which was good) and your only restaurant choice within walking distance is Perkins across the street.
But overall if you are looking for a great mid-class hotel for an extended stay in Duluth (we were there three nights), especially with kids, this place is just right.
It's in the west end of Duluth, which is not the 'fancy' part of town around Canal Park, and the area is a mix of retail and industrial, so no scenic views, but the area was fine, not a 'bad area' of town.

This was a great place to crash during our family’s weekend in Duluth! The hotel was clean and updated, our room was spacious and had everything we needed, the pool area was really nice, and the breakfast was delicious. The check-in staff was very friendly and our room was serviced as expected. If I had to share a “dislike” it would be: 1) not the greatest or most scenic part of town (but we spent very little time at the hotel so that was ok with us) - it’s in a very industrial area. 2) breakfast only served until 9, so I had to wake my very tired kids up earlier than they would have liked so they could eat. 3) road noise from the nearby interstate and surrounding neighborhoods woke me up a few times during the night. All in all, this was a nice place to stay, and I would stay here again in the future without any hesitation. Thanks Comfort Inn!
