When booking this hotel my family was very excited. We have been here before and the surroundings are beautiful. To our disappointment the pool was closed. We had 2 young children who were looking forward to a pool night so bad! Your desk assistant was very vague about the directions and the price of the rooms. We booked 1 queen room with 2 beds and got adjoining rooms. This was incredibly inconvenient with little kids. I expect more from this area and hotel. Was very disappointed.

We were in town to visit family, who recommended Aloft. Hotel is located in the far kcmo suburbs in a fairly new commercial development. There were numerous restaurants and stores in walking distance. Very safe. Everything in the room was clean, tv worked, blackout shades, refrigerator, safe. Housekeeping is on request so we gave the cleaner our trash and asked for toilet paper and towels. There was a nice laundry room at the end of the hall we used twice, uses quarters. We did not get the breakfast there but we could see there were plenty of hot and cold choices. Parking garage is right next to hotel and has elevator.

The shower leaks all over the floor just like last time when we stayed there many years ago. There was only 1 wash cloth and three towels. We had our family of four in the room. The AC was off in the main check-in lobby and the attendant was less than friendly. The shower handle came off in my hand. The lack of maintenance makes me wonder how clean the room was. We were only there for one night. This is our second time staying there and we will not stay there again.

Location is surrounded by really cool restaurants and bars. Very family and pet friendly. Hotel is pretty modern with a fun outdoor terrace area on the 2nd floor. Only parking is about a block away in a garage (slightly inconvenient) Lots of sirens heard all night

I did not get to stay at this hotel because I did not get the room I reserved. I reserved a room with two beds and I received a room with one bed. I had to leave and find another hotel which took me two hours to find. This was very disappointing because I had my children with me. The hotel and staff were very nice.
