Holiday Inn Resort Jekyll Island, an IHG Hotel

Great stay. Very relaxing and nice sight seeing with the kids.

The location is good, in front of the quite Jekyll island beach, good for family vacation, there are biking roads, holiday in provides bike free of cost for 2 hours, plenty of space in front of hotel room to play and hanging out. good swimming pool. Our queen premium room was medium spacious. What we didnt like much is the hotel room carpet was not clean , it was smelly, TV was not great. little bit upgrade is needed. the break fast(with extra payment) provided by beach house not great. Still I would recommend this hotel for a family vacation considering all facilities like outer space, pool, beach view, bike road, morning and evening walk, garden etc. Their front desk staff was nice and gentle. thanks !

The rooms are not clean. Spider webs everywhere. Under every surface. At 1 in the morning there was the biggest spider I have ever seen on the ceiling. I went to go kill it and the damn thing JUMPED OFF THE CEILING!!!!! My soul left my body. The next day me and my wife searched the room and that’s when we came across baby spiders and spider sacks. Not clean.

This hotel is not awful but I would’ve rather stayed at better/nicer one especially for the price I paid for a one night stay. This was my first time coming to this area and this hotel. When I checked in there was already a guest arguing with the front desk. Not great first impression. I also didn’t like that this hotel is so far from any restaurant or shopping areas. They do have their own single restaurant but it didn’t look to good to our family. I wish there was more to do closer to this hotel but I guess if you want more quiet area on the beach this hotel would be good. The rooms are dated and most things are rusty. We can tell the carpets were not cleaned my daughter allergies were affected really badly. She was sneezing most of the night and had an hard time falling asleep. Also the toilet kept running all night and was surprisingly very loud. We all had a hard time falling asleep to that. The pool was closed for maintenance which was very disappointing for my kids. In the morning I went to get coffee but I guess it closed at 10am which I was not told. I do like that I can access the beach really easily. For what I was changed I expected better. I don’t believe I will ever stay here again. I would prefer one of the other hotels closer, cleaner, and more reasonable.

Perfect place for family time.

We had a horrible experience that lead to us finding a new hotel at midnight with our children. And we go no help or refund from the property. Our room was so dirty!! There were spiders and bug EVERYWHERE. the bathroom had hair all over it that wasn’t ours. And was super rusted. The room smelled like mold as well. We asked to change rooms and were told no. So we tried to sleep there for a night but we found bugs in the bed which led to us moving hotels in the middle of the night. We requests a refund due to the fact it was horrible and we now paid for two hotels for the same days. And the property manager refused.

Jacob was amazing at the front desk, the pool could’ve been a bit cleaner, but my kids didn’t care.

Going to Jekyll Island was a last minute decision thankfully a room was available at the Holiday Inn Resort which is our favorite place to stay. Short walk to the beach and next door is the Beach House which is a great place to dine. We arrived at the hotel a little early but the Clerk did her best to get us a room. While we waited she ted us like family. She is a perfect person to have at the front desk, very pleasant and professional
