Winter the Dolphins Beach Club, Ascend Hotel Collection

My daughter chose this hotel for our family beach vacation. After reading the reviews I was skeptical but was pleasantly surprised. I worked in the hotel industry for over 20 years in Guest Services so I know what good vs. bad service looks like. Our family had four rooms. My son and daughter in law did not get the room they had reserved, ground floor poolside and ended up on the 5th floor and my daughter ended up getting the room my son reserved. It all worked out as we were just happy to be all together. I found the staff friendly. The room was clean and beds very comfortable. My grandson cut his foot badly on the rocks and the staff was very helpful in getting us first aid. Since the location in not on the Gulf we were concerned of the current that was not too far off the beach however the small beach was just fine for my grandchildren.

This is a small cozy hotel on the first line. I was on vacation with my child. And it was great. Good access to the water. Friendly staff. Take earplugs with you, because the air conditioner is a little noisy at night

Very good with a private beach. Quiet and peaceful for families and reasonably priced

First it’s a nice location and seems to be a nice hotel. But we were placed in a room by the stairs and the door closer was busted off. So all day and night you just heard doors slamming in the room. Then the connecting room had a thin door and there was a baby crying all night. I also don’t see why a hotel with a private beach charges people staying at the hotel for chairs and umbrellas. I’m paying all that money to stay there that should be included. I will stay elsewhere the next time.

I think the hotels partnership with the aquarium is very cool and uniques and I really enjoyed the pool and beach access and how family friendly and welcoming the hotel and staff were

Property is very well maintained, room was clean and comfortable. The staff were nice and pleasant. The only issue is the noise. A lot of drunk people making noises after 11pm, banging doors and screaming in the hallway. I know it is not the hotel’s fault which I noticed them trying to control it but just consider bringing a white noise in case you have kids.

10 out of a 10! We loved our stay!! Location is great! Plus it has a private beach which we loved. The beds and pillows and bedding were very comfortable. But I think the biggest highlight of our stay was the staff! Every single person we encountered was polite, courteous, helpful, friendly, and just wonderful. The front desk staff was especially great. Very kid friendly. Can’t wait to come back

Love the food , pool bar. Everyone so friendly and helpful. Stayed with my 2 college kids. Relaxing and walkable. And safe. Definitely be back
