Pelican Pointe Hotel by Sunsational Beach Rentals

I stayed here for 5 nights. I would rate it more than 5 stars if i could. This room was very clean, had all the essentials I needed and was so close to everything in walking distance. The bed was very comfortable and the air conditioning worked to freeze us :) This room definitely felt like home away from home. I would stay here again and would recommend to family and friends.

I would love to give Pelican Pointe a 5 star review. My one and only complaint was the construction noise from the hotel being built next door, and I know that is not their fault. We stayed for 2 nights after visiting family in Florida. We were able to walk to bars, restaurants, shopping. Pier 60 is only half a mile away. There is also a Jolly Trolley that stops right outside the motel. The beach is a five minute walk. Everything is easily accessible. Amazing value for the money. We will definitely be back!

Vacation with family

We had a great time. The pool was awesome for the kids and the staff was very helpful. I highly recommend staying at Pelican pointe when vacationing at Clearwater Beach

Nice staff. Not child friendly - no secondary locks on doors to prevent running out. Would have been nice to know of the on going renovations that prevented my toddler from napping at all.

I only gave 4 stars for appearance as they are doing renovations to the outside of the building. The room was very clean and housekeeping cleaned our room daily. The walk to the beach was maybe a minute and a half and Salty's next door we ate at a few times and the food was very good. The pool was very clean, although we only used it once as there were a lot of kids in the pool. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in the area and would definitely stay again.

Stayed at pelican pointe for a week end of May as family of four from UK. We had family room with 2 double beds and double sofa bed and enough bedding for all to be used. Room facilities were great, enough shampoo, conditioner and shower gel to use which is topped up by the cleaners, make up wipes provided, hair dryer, iron board and iron, fresh towels and sheets whenever needed even pool towels. Room cooming facilities were a microwave and toaster and coffee maker plus a fridge and small freezer. Hotel is only a short walk from the beach and all the shops and transport stops walkable too. Tea and coffee in reception to help yourself to between 8am and 11pm. Staff friendly and helpful. For a budget hotel compared to some of the bigger and much more expensive ones pelican pointe was great and would recommend. We used the local trolley bus to get around when it was too hot to walk and ubers to and from airport, all quite reasonable. Found the food prices in the local shops and restaurants quite high but think this is just because you're in the central tourist area of clearwater, We saw dolphins swim by when we were in the sea on our first day which was incredible.

The price was great along with the layout of the condo. It is one of the older hotels. Our room was very loud as it shared a wall with the ice machine and elevator. Lots of construction that was loud. Pool was average but did the job with kids. Our room has a big leak that got everything wet. This made our travel hard for the next day.

A clean, tidy room in an older complex. Staff were very kind and friendly. Room had everything we needed. A little dated but the location makes up for that. Pool area is great for the kids and quite literally 1 minute to the beach.

I researched over a dozen properties before I chose this one. It was well worth my time because this place is exceptional. Parking was 10 steps from the front door and once we parked our car, we hardly used it again for the five days we were there. There is so much within walking distance. The beach is right across the street. Five steps from our hotel is Salty’s restaurant. We either had breakfast lunch or dinner there every day. The pool is very nice and very well maintained. There are adequate lounge chairs, and tables with umbrellas and beach towels are provided. Our room was on the third floor. It overlooked the pool and once we were inside the room, we did not hear any outside noise from children playing or anything. The staff was incredibly nice. There are vending machines in the lobby area if you need something on the go. I like the way the room is set up with a divider which separates a living area from a sleeping area. One person could actually be sleeping while the other is doing computer work or reading or little children are sleeping. Our room was very clean and the maintenance people were all very friendly. We left a nice tip for our cleaning lady. This place is perfect for families or a couple just needing to get away for a bit. the fact that parking is included is a big deal because in many other locations, you pay extra for that. I really can’t find one negative thing to say about this hotel. I would definitely stay there again. Amazing sunsets too!
