Pool was dirty. The alarm clock in the room woke everyone up at 6 am the first morning.
Advertised for free breakfast, that wasn't true. We got a 30 dollar voucher and kids were free, still had to pay s service fee and for orange juice, so ended up paying 25 dollar each morning for breakfast.

Great hotel. We stayed here 10 years ago. Amazing sunsets! Staff is very kind and courteous.
A few things could be improved:
No one is monitoring who enters pool area. You are supposed to have a yellow wrist band. On Our second night (Sunday) I unfortunately witnessed a man hit his son in the head on the pool deck. As a Mom this was very disturbing and I alerted hotel staff to monitor the situation. I decided to pull Our 4 kids out of the water for safety.
The furniture needs updating. The chairs in Our suite were broken. The third night We were there the ceiling on the 9th floor started leaking and We had to switch rooms at 10:00 at night. The water was leaking onto Our pull out church We needed to use as a bed. The front desk was helpful but again not exactly convenient for a family of six. Thank-goodness it was a Tuesday otherwise We may have not been able to get a suite!

This hotel was absolutely perfect for my family of six! Our suite consisted of two adjoining rooms, which gave us access to two bathrooms and plenty of space to spread out. We loved the location and all of the delicious dining options within walking distance! The staff was very friendly and always accommodating! The adjoining donut shop was a nice surprise as well!

This is our third time staying at the Holiday Inn at Clearwater Beach. We LOVE the pool and the access to Jimmy's Fish House. It's walkable and easy to navigate back to our room after a long day.
What is beginning to lack is the appearance of the hotel rooms. They look very weathered. We book the Family Suites with bunk beds and attached kitchenette with the sofa bed. The bunk rails were shaky and nearly falling off the bed, the walls had mismatched paint patches everywhere. The pull out sofa had a bar across the bottom so that when I shifted positions, the bar went into my partners back and vice versa throughout the night. I am sure that with some better maintenance and attention, the room would be ideal for us. Compared to nearby hotels, it looks outdated and dingy. So... if you don't care about the aesthetics and you need space for several kids and a separate space for yourselves in a room that will function... this would be ok. If you are looking for a luxurious and more upscale stay, this might not be your place....

The hotel was very close to the beach (walking distance) and in a safe neighborhood. The hotel itself was very over priced with small rooms and a slow elavator. The hotel seemed like it was run as a family business with a lot of family members that did not want to be there. The ladies at the front desk were not friendly nor welcoming. The young girl that checked me in had the personality of a oompah loompah. The true saving grace of this property was the restaurant and bar Jims Fish House. The food and drinks tasted great, the patio waitress and live music were amazing. You could clearly tell he is not affiliated with the hotel because they are run much better than them. As a Packer fan I was surprised to see a section of the restaurant dedicated to the team. The hotel wins for its location and restaurant and that’s about it.

The location is always spot on and it's great for family. The hotel is very outdated but works. Service from the staff was very good including the on site restaurant. Front of the house and the wrist bands could explain a little better and housekeeping could communicate better with the front desk. Noisy neighbors and it would be nice if there was a way to fix that issue on both stays here a year apart. However, there is no common sense or courtesy left in the human race. Not a 5 star or palace but overall it works for a family of 5.

Not really family friendly, the most shallow part of the pool is 4.5ft. Rooms are dated and dirty, online photos are misleading, ocean views not what posted of the gulf view. Its more like an inlet view, Not the ocean!!!!
Breakfast was an awful buffet at Jimmys onsite restaurant.
People smoking various things on balconies not even able to open sliding door.
Overpriced and misleading.

We stayed here over spring break. Loved the two bedroom unit! It gave us plenty of room for the little ones to roam around! Beds were comfortable and rooms were very clean! Enjoyed being able to walk to the beach. The only thing missing was a hot tub. Pool water was a little cool, so would’ve been nice to get in a hot tub. Thanks for a great stay!

Hotel is fine. No frills rooms, but gulf views are amazing of course. Pool is awesome and tiki bar is fun. Jimmy's fish house is excellent. Food and live music... Chefs kiss! Biggest draw backs... Facility itself is a little aged once you get past the lovely foyer entrance. And there's no hot tub. Major bummer! Freezing cold. "kiddie pool" where the hot tub should be. And the breakfast is not complimentary. For an average hotel which charges a $32a day resort fee they provide nothing more than basic hotel service. There is nothing "resort" about this place. Its nice and well likely be back if they drop the resort fee, otherwise we'll find a someplace else. It's not worth the extra $32/night.
