We had a nice stay with our family! The location was convenient to travel the keys and we took advantage of a chill day by staying on site, playing in the pool, relaxing in the hammocks and kayaking. The docks were nicely decorated with cute lights and you can see small fish swimming around.
The suite was well suited for family living allowing us to cook meals and play in the living room.

Caveat Emptor - Don't be fooled by the reviews, they may have been written by friends and family of the owners.
This place may have been called a resort in the 50's or 60's but is now a run down relic and is in desperate need of a makeover. Glamourised photography on the property website make it appear clean and fresh. Stayed in the building near the front of the property in Room 20 and I don't know where to start with the criticism - so perhaps the positives first - good location, nice pool, easy parking.
Now for the negatives - Black out curtains only (some sheers would be good so that you can let in light without being seen by people in the next room walking past. Flywire on sliding door non existent. Thin walls - can hear people in adjoining rooms. View of the garden included a trailer full of garden debris and a dilapidated kayak and the property runaround golf cart. Unable to locate paddles for the free kayaks near the boat ramp. Washing machine not working on some cycles and you need to walk past other patrons outdoor dining areas to get to the laundry.
But the most annoying thing about this room was the noise from road traffic. And the noise. And the noise. Get the picture, Horrendous.

Great place, everything was sparkling clean, nice bed, bathroom was clean, and a kitchen too ! Wish we could've stayed longer but we were on a roadtrip thru the keys, the room was apartment sized which was awesome, big enough for a family to stay in, nice and quiet, would definitely recommend

I rarely write reviews, unless it's an extremely positive or a negative experience. I booked this place for the Christmas break (3days). The room was called iguana, and if iguanas actually lived in it they would be dead in seconds. It was 48f outside extremely wet and windy those particular days. There was no heat in the room. The AC was broken , there were no markings on , it took us a while to figure its touch screen system out. My kids slept in their jackets because their linen was thread bare. Their fire alarm blinked the whole night. I paid quite a bit/night to listen to trucks all night. We braved it for 2 nights. When the maintenance guy told us our AC was broken . I asked the manager if I could get a refund for our last night , since it was getting very uncomfortable for the kids ( a baby and a 8yr old) . They flat out refused. They said it's a non refundable booking. Ok !! So you'd rather take the money and take no accountability that your guests were miserable during their stay. I was ready to pay for the last 2 painful nights ,but the day they told us the ac was broken , and there was no other room available, I decided to check out. They offered me a heat tower with inches of lint stuck to its filter ... I am ok with hypothermia, I don't want my babies to get an asthmatic attack.
It's important to listen to your patrons , I was not making excuses to check out early. There clearly was an issue with the room, but no solution :(

Great little hotel to stay in for a family trip! The grounds were beautiful, the pool was amazing, and the hammocks were great! Super comfortable beds, but the futon/couch was lumpy and kept sliding off the frame. We were missing basic kitchen tools. Got a lot of rain one afternoon and water came into our room and the ones next to us. Overall I would definitely recommend staying here!

We had a very enjoyable stay here. There are maybe 16 units so it was quiet even with other guests staying. We got a room
With 2 bedrooms and 3 queen beds and a futon in the front room with sheets to sleep in. We slept 7 very comfortably and were glad to not have to pay for 2 separate hotel rooms to hold all of us. Each unit had their own table and chairs outside.Outside the hotel was cute and fun. They have picnic tables and chairs and hammocks as well as corn hole. It was so nice sitting outside watching the ocean and palm trees sway in the breeze. My kids loved the pool which was very nice and clean with pool toys. The staff was friendly and their gardens were beautiful. Would stay again and would recommend for anyone else. It’s about 10 minutes outside of Marathon where there are plenty of grocery stores and restaurants.
