Online comments were not positive but my stay was great. The room was clean and I slept like a baby. I will definitely come back!

We had a unpleasant stay at the property for the following reasons. 1) no AC 2) no door on the shower; water splashed all over the bathroom floor. 3) only one extra toilet paper for a family of four staying three nights; when we asked for more toilet papers, the front desk person gave us an attitude.

Sadly the floors were paper thin and you could hear everything above you. In the evening it was loud with people walking back and forth, kids jumping etc. Avoid 100 level rooms unless it doesn’t bother you listening to thumping. Also would be nice to have a soda machine on-site so we didn’t have to walk to Pine street. Loved the view and the convenience to everything. Room was ver nice, clean and comfy.

This was our first time up in Big Bear and we were so excited to try out Marina Rivera! We still love hotels vs airbnbs so when we found this property and location you can’t beat it! Our 3 year old was SO excited to stay in a room with a bunk bed. This was the perfect size room for a family of 3! Everything was brand new and details were so fitting to the hotels brand. We stayed at the bottom floor which was great to open our door and be right outside. This hotel is still within construction phase meaning the pool, restaurant, landscaping and some other details were not finished. But personally that did not bother us because the website was VERY transparent of the phase they are in. There is no other hotel in the area that is brand new and with the best location. There was a little park next door that was great to play at. Any issues we may have had we could test the front desk and they were so quick at responding. Few areas of opportunity, you are in the wilderness so there was some ants in the room. But again look at where we are at, right by a lake. We were mindful to take out any food trash to the community trash cans to avoid any smells or more ants. Shower could use a shower door, but they provide plenty of towels to put on the floor. We are so happy with our stay and will be back! The lake is walking distance right by the marina! When this place is done is gonna be a high end boutique hotel. Stay here before prices increase!

With the lobby closed for renovations, there was no place to go in the morning as I wake hours before my family. The Supreme King room was small and cramped. The TV lost satellite every few minutes, and the temperature control was either too hot or cold. It is in a great location in the Village but hardly worth the high price. There is virtually no service.

Marina Riviera has the comfort and amenities of a Motel 6. I booked three nights in January 2023, but the stay was so uncomfortable that I left a night early. Casetta Hospitality Management tried to turn this old motel into a cool property with hip design elements, but have fallen short. The noise is the property's biggest problem--I could hear every step the guests (and dogs) above me took, along with guests snoring, babies crying and music playing in adjacent rooms. The rooms are VERY loud, even with earplugs in, and made for an uncomfortable stay. As of January 2023, the property has ZERO amenities. There is no lobby, no pool/hot tub, no restaurant/bar, no fire pit, no electric vehicle charger, no communal spaces, etc. so you are paying only for a room. Staff informed me that the property's renovation MAY be complete around summer/fall, but that things are moving slowly. Basic things in my room did not work. The TV didn't work, the bathroom door did not shut all the way, the room door did not shut properly and the closet light did not work. It was strange considering these rooms were recently renovated. Big Bear Lake itself isn't particularly scenic, like Lake Tahoe, so Marina Riviera's location isn't really a selling point in my opinion. My recommendation is to pass on staying at Marina Riviera and book a more comfortable property, such as The Lodge at Big Bear, or a vacation rental instead.
